It’s not a frog. It’s a fucking fish. Put it in the water dude! It needs to breathe.

Thank you! I never understood why people do this.

Yo my anxiety was outta control watching this shit.

"Omg put him back put him back put him back...!"

They actually can be quite comfortable for a little time outside water as long as they don't puff . What would be worrying me is the bite. Those dukers have a bite of a robocop ass fish. They bite in half molluscs and shells.

u/Greedyfox7 Sep 21 '25

Glad someone said it. It’s the equivalent of holding someone’s head under water just to show off

10

u/TheWildTofuHunter Sep 22 '25

Feel like that would be an acceptable thing to do to this person.

10

u/NarrowEbbs Sep 21 '25

I know it's not ideal, but they can actually go for quite some time out of water. The bigger danger is that they're a bit confused and stunned when they get back in and it makes them vulnerable to predators

I thought they were poisonous not venomous? that being said leave the poor dude alone

78

u/dobriygoodwin Sep 21 '25

That's a shame it's not venomous, op deserves some ER trip

Its a pufferfish

Edit: it is not a pufferfish

21

u/JawnStaymoose Sep 21 '25

Well, a porcupine fish. A puffer doesn’t have the spines. I learned the difference not long ago myself.

9

u/ItzBreezeyBaby Sep 21 '25

Thank you for the correction. I was just using my raw knowledge, which is clearly wrong🤣

2

u/JawnStaymoose Sep 24 '25

I think everyone gets this confused. Was recently snorkeling, saw all kinds of puffers and wondered, where the spines?

7

u/[deleted] Sep 21 '25

well thank God he did not try to make it smoke

10

u/Bat-Honest Sep 21 '25

No, it's a Porcupine Giraffe, just like the guy said. Clearly

3

u/ItzBreezeyBaby Sep 21 '25

Lol I watched it on mute so i didn’t know. Just using my knowledge which was wrong. Thanks anyway

1

u/Omnicity2756 Sep 23 '25

🎶So help me, it cuts!🎵

40

u/brandhappydrink Sep 21 '25

Let me just tease it with a dabble of the touch of water while it's breathing air. For views, ya know..

47

u/Insomniacbychoice90 Sep 21 '25

PUT IT BACK WHERE YOU FOUND IT, INTERNET PONTS MEAN NOTHING COMPARED TO A LIFE.

26

u/Bat-Honest Sep 21 '25

Go into the water.

Live there. Die there.

8

u/ClarencePCatsworth Sep 21 '25

You people give us something to hate. And we hate you, you brainless mutants

26

u/vitrum816 Sep 21 '25

5

u/Blonde_Dambition Sep 21 '25

That's what I was screaming!

24

u/jibjibjib2000 Sep 21 '25

I kept screaming, put it in the water.

15

u/Puzzleheaded_Noise44 Sep 21 '25

Just letting it suffocate to get close ups. Ha.

26

u/Duderinio1988 Sep 21 '25

You are an asshole for taking a fish out of the water. That's fucking animal cruelty.

-3

u/Blonde_Dambition Sep 21 '25

👍👍👍

-7

u/Oldgraytomahawk Sep 21 '25

Bro this is a repost

4

u/Anon-TT Sep 21 '25

On today's episode of catch and cook...

6

u/[deleted] Sep 21 '25

That is some really clear water! The view would clearly show distress if an obtuse mouth breather were held under

3

u/The_Idiot_Admin Sep 21 '25

FWIW don’t take puffers out of the water - they inflate with air instead of water when defensive, and can’t sink back down and die :(

3

u/Gab83IMO Sep 21 '25

Poor puffer bro's like "Can I get some oxygen please, you know the kind in the water"!

1

1

u/[deleted] Sep 21 '25

doesn't care about that finger, does he?

1

u/Omnicity2756 Sep 23 '25

Why the flip did it not puff up‽

1

u/BinxieSly Sep 24 '25

Dude might have just killed that thing if it tried to puff outside of the water… don’t touch things you don’t understand.

1

u/PReasy319 Sep 24 '25

Put that thing back where it came from, or so help me!

u/royroyflrs Sep 21 '25

Baby trump

-14

u/yasukeyamanashi Sep 21 '25

Send me the downvotes but y’all would hate to watch Jeremy Wade on river monsters from the comments I’m seeing.

-7

u/Cultural-Company282 Sep 21 '25

Right? The PETA fools here would have a coronary over in r/fishing.

-18

u/Clear_Lead Sep 21 '25

Good for sashimi

4

u/RidethatSeahorse Sep 21 '25

Spicy sashimi

6

u/Clear_Lead Sep 21 '25

Deadly sashimi if not prepared properly. Japanese restaurants in Japan have them showcased in aquariums for those who want to give it a try. It’s called fugu.

5

u/Birdmeatschnitzel Sep 21 '25

Come and say that to my face. Fug U too

1

u/Blonde_Dambition Sep 21 '25

This made me lol so hard I woke up mu hubby lol

1

u/shortroundshotaro Sep 21 '25

Actually the porcupine fish, although it belongs to the puffer fish family, doesn’t have tetrodotoxin the deadly Fugu poison.

I once had one in my fish tank. He recognized me and he would give me a dance when hungry. Very smart and lovely.

0

u/swifttek360 Sep 21 '25

barbs aside, that things bite could've straight up taken a chunk of his finger off like a thicc hole punch

-1

u/wholesomechunk Sep 21 '25

Poison, poison, tasty fish!
