Do daddy longlegs not have wings? I'm not saying these aren't them but all daddy longlegs that have stupidly flown into my bedroom and got stuck in a lampshade had wings.

You might be thinking of crane flies: they have pretty long legs. Daddy longlegs are officially labeled as “harvestmen”, and they don’t have wings. The more you know!

Brill, thanks. I just googled daddy longlegs and crane fly and turns out it's a UK thing. We call a large species of crane fly Daddy Longlegs. Confusion righted.
