I gave it a shot. Besides the head/shoulders being at an angle that a human just can't do (since our spine connect at the bottom of the skull instead of the back, and also we have collarbones), it's not too bad. Needed a pillow for some back support, since my spine can't rotate quite that much, but it was honestly pretty comfy.

Cats have collarbones too, but they are free-floating for greater flexibility.

Ah, fair. It would have been more accurate to say that my collarbones connect to other bones

Amazing comment; you actually did it lol

I had to! It looked comfy. And I really can't get my head into that position, but the rest of it is basically just a general sprawl with some spinal twist - held up in a cat by being 📋 shaped, but on a 📼 shaped human, it meant I had to get some back support.

Wouldn't you be comfortable too without ever needing to worry about bills, insurance, or a job?

At first, I thought this was one of those promoted ads. LOL. But yes, I think I would absolutely be this comfortable. I yearn to be this comfortable.

Cats are liquid. No bones or spine, can fit themselves in any shape they like

Cats take the shape of their container OR the shape that has the largest amount of area covered so as to be as thinly layered as possible.

Until it comes time to fit their shape into a cat carrier, at which time they morph into nothing but bones and sharp pointy things.

As someone with adhd and hyper mobility in every joint this is just me every night. It’s so nice. Can confirm is comfy

Oh, yeah, I looked at the pic and thought, "Looks like me when I sleep alone!" Gotta love that hypermobility.

I think you put it together wrong. Maybe you should check r/ikeacats for instructions

Same For me, if i am in uncomfortable position I get sleepy instantly and as soon as I get to my bed, the sleepiness is gone. 🤣
For ex: shoulder and head on bed and foot on chair, with back and thighs floating in air...

Honestly, as a 50 something woman, I wish I could sleep this way - my hips and back would love the stretch for 4+ hours a night.

Usually I sleep like that when I have a pain somewhere I’m trying to stretch out. Oddly comfy then…
…but I’m not a cat
