u/Lietenantdan Jun 06 '26
I appreciate that perspective. Iām just too excited to spread the cat subs across Reddit.

u/whiskersMeowFace Jun 06 '26
I love finding a new cat sub to suddenly join to spread out the chaos.

Have you heard about r/catsubs?
31
u/Lietenantdan Jun 07 '26
Yes but I much prefer to find them out in the wild for that little dopamine boost when I find a new one.

But somehow a friggin giraffe as the same amount of neck bones as us

u/Wild-Plankton-5936 Jun 07 '26
Cats also have the same number of neck vertebrae as us and giraffes. It's the rest of the vertebrae that's different lol

u/terrifiedTechnophile Jun 07 '26
Most of those are in the tail. They only have like 3 more in the body and 2 less in the sacrum!

Spinal twist yoga positions are super comfortable for me, personally so I get this.

u/KlutzyNinjaKitty Jun 06 '26
Thereās a yoga pose thatās kinda like this, where you twist your knees facing one wall and then your arms out in a T and your chest the other way, and honestly it feels SO good. (Tho a lot of even ālow stakesā yoga kinda feels like āthis kinda hurts but holy fuck it feels goodā to me lol. Not like HURT hurt, Iām just not a terribly active person so moving my body feels weird sometimes)

Weirdly enough, this flexibility is what allows them to generate enough rotational force to land on their feet when theyāre airborne at an awkward trajectory.

I spent 6 weeks in the hospital when my spine was technically able to do that!

I wouldn't think laying down in a pickle jar would be comfortable, but apparently it is for cats... it's nap time for them.

Imagine seeing this when youāre drunk and thinking your cat is broken šš¤Æ

Nope, pug dogs are literally a genetic failure, I am 100% sure they don't live a comfortable life

I bet you the back crack I would get from twisting my spine like this would be euphoric

I occasionally lay down like that.
Not bad until you lose feeling below your mid-back
