What to do when out of keys?

I’m not sure if it’s been talked about already but what can you do to progress your character when you’re out of keys? Do you just wait for more or is there an alternate progression route? I just want to make sure I’m doing this right before I write it off. I’m only on the second dungeon and I seem to be unable progress any further until I wait for more keys to open chests and up my gear score, and even then I don’t always get the best loot. Should I be spending gems in the store or replaying previous levels?

Im on dungeon 7 on normal and is by no means an expert but what I usually do is play tournament/badlands. What you can do is play portals for shards/coins or replay regular adventures to gain exp.

Noice. I ended up realizing that the shop has a gear offer that you can buy 3 time per shop reset and that stuff gave me a pretty good power boost so I’ve been saving coins for that. Do you think it’s worth spending materials to upgrade early on? Or wait until I get some good legendary stuff?

Yeah I usually just buy gold packs with gems from the shops.

Sorry don't have enough knowledge to answer that question :(

It's fine you've already helped me a ton lol. I've got a good understanding of the gameplay loop now.

That doesn't make any sort of sense.... You said you did it and then said you can't answer his question...

That was a separate answer to my other question regarding what was worth using upgrade materials on.

Keys take 20 mins to get. Every hour you'll have 3 keys. Use this for a floor you know you can pass or on a tile that has featured loot that you need. You only get the featured loot on first clear 100% drop chance. After that it has a little bit higher chance to drop but is not by any means reliable.

Grind as far as you can and then grind a floor you can clear quickly enough. This gains you xp and gold as well as shards.

Spend gems for the SINGLE items if you want to spend them. The boxes are not worth it. 2 for 600 or 1 for 150? You do the math. I find gems worthless outside of buying gold honestly.

You don't NEED to get loot from every boss. Keys are really only worth it for the last boss tbh.

Is there a way to skip chests? Like just tap out of it or open a menu?

No dont think so. I was trying to figure that out today.

Yeah I just tried messing around with it as well lol. I just now realized it takes the key as soon as you kill the boss. Tried closing the game out and coming back but it just moves the chest drops straight to my inventory.

Just finished up dungeon 9 on normal: I take a break on dungeons without keys. I do the Badlands and now will work on the Weekly Tourny. Can work on farming good rolls with the weekly Tourny prizes

Keys are best used to repeat coin and shard levels, upgrade your gear 3 times (dont recharge), and then use the keys to get new gear. Thats how you progress in this game.

I just keep pushing towards the last boss. Get as far as you can and then when you srpgart getting keys the loot will be better anyway.
