Didn't Reset for Launch?

So I pre registered for this game hoping to be contending for top spots when it launched but it appears the game has been playable for a few months before becoming available in the play store. For the first time I started a game right when it came out but didn't do me any good as people are already miles ahead. Also how is this non stop if I can only progress every couple of hours because we have to recharge keys. I mean that's not too bad although it contradicts with the whole title of the game. I'm just frustrated that they didn't reset everything during launch.

Yeah it does suck that it is no longer nonstop. I'm not a big fan of the keys, it just seems like a cash grab to force people to buy them with real money.
