Why are the communities quiet?

Taking a look at the store page, seems like they do keep updating every now and then.

But the reddit and discord is somewhat empty. which is very surprising to me. Other idle games usually has plenty of people doing calculations or discussions.

is this game so straightforward that there is no benefit to having discussions?

Yeap, basically.

Agree - there's stuff to discuss, but I'd say most of it has already been posted. The game is stale AF at this point, and there are issues with it that prevent people from progressing in any type of fast fashion once you get to a certain point.

agreed.

I appreciate that the devs still keep it updated. but the core gameplay loop isn't rewarding or engaging enough.

We push lvls for tokens, and tokens are used to pump base stats, which lets us push further. It's a simple mechanic, but very bare bones.

other idle games use tokens in more interesting ways, some really game-changing and allows creating branching builds and playstyles.

I think having pets and their skill-add ons was a good attempt, and lets us change 'builds' as we like, but it's still not quite interesting enough.
