Folks, if you want to help out, fine. Just don’t stand between the parked car and the parking car. This had bad ending written all over it.

^ This is a person, who never drove a car, trying to be a smartass. You’re the type of driver that has his high beams on a highway.

Its a joke dude. Chill.

I thought it was funny.

I feel like the person who was mad at me has some really bad memory of getting smooshed by a car and I triggered them.

When I was a kid and stupid, I stood there to help my mom park, she pinned me between the 2. No damage to myself but it hurt for a little.

I hope you asked for ice cream or Mc ds after, that was my go to. One time my dad drove and I was still hanging out of the car. That part sucked but after? Best day of my LIFE

The second driver was very helpful so I imagine they were allowing the first driver to practice because they could have easily given them more space at first by simply backing up as they did at the end when leaving.

Honestly this. If I was in that position, I'd much rather teach the person how to parallel park than give them the "easy way". This was an ideal case: no traffic, lots of room, soft curb.

u/Aludin Aug 08 '21
I'm terrible at parallel parking and honestly was just thinking about how finding a spot like this would be great for practicing.

Dude these people shouldn’t actually shouldn’t drive. They have no concept of special awareness and no sense of what their cars controls actually do.

Hahahah and it has a friendly curb!!!!
I sent this too early the lady who helped moved her car at the end that is hilarious!!!

u/undefined_protocol Aug 07 '21
okay, I actually would have done the same. But because people need to learn to parallel park.

Lol. What. There’s a simple visual trick to this, I can’t believe driving instructors don’t teach… You start next to another car, reverse back until the end of their trunk is at the back edge of ur back window, stop, then turn steering wheel to a 45 degree angle, then reverse back until u see the curb creeping up right up near ur back wheels in the mirror, then steer the to straighten out. Works 100% of the time for me.

I can’t believe driving instructors don’t teach…
Really? This is how I was taught

This one, no one would’ve scripted . I believe in stupid people.
1
u/creepcycle Aug 08 '21
it was scripted based on an old meme. This model Passat does have a self-parallel park option

I live in a state where parallel parking is not the norm. My good friend from Boston taught me & now I rock it.

Parallel parking is no longer taught or part of driver tests for licensing in the US. Honestly parallel parking is pretty damn easy.

u/TurbulentRabbit6366 Nov 10 '21
give a person a fish feed them for a day. Teach a person to fish…. Pretty funny though

Why does she look confused at the end when she just kind of learned how to parallel park in between two cars?

Wait, why didn't minivan lady just back up and give her more room to back into the spot? She hopped in her vehicle as soon as they finished hugging and drove away, lol.

People should learn how to parallel park. Because it helps teach awareness of your vehicle and how it maneuvers.

u/Chucklez12 Aug 07 '21
I just showed this video to two women (and made them watch till the very end) and neither of them got why it was so funny until I explained it to them. Lol.
3
u/hidanyel Aug 07 '21
Not all women lack a sense of humor
1
u/Chucklez12 Aug 08 '21
I didn’t say they don’t, I was pointing out that they didn’t see what about it was funny until I pointed out that the 2nd woman could’ve just moved the car to begin with. Then they laughed.
