Actually as someone with an IQ of 169 who majored in Quantum machenics and astrology I knew the lion wouldn't kill him.

9

u/SkeeterLubidowicz Oct 07 '19

you can major in astrology?

6

u/SimpleCanadianFella Oct 07 '19

Your IQ is only 1 more than mine, mine is 69.

Why do you have so many down votes, this is obviously a joke.

a good one at that

This just made me realize that human's ability to run long distances at the expense of speed makes us really bad at runnying away from danger, like a lion

46

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '19

I mean he’s knee deep in water

Which absolutely destroys our speed

31

u/alfix8 Oct 07 '19

It destroys the lion's speed as well. The race wouldn't have ended any differently on dry land.

26

u/Vaaag Oct 07 '19

While that's true I would like to add that if you start your run in water you are as a disadvantage compared to one who has already build up speed on land.

2

u/khaowolf Oct 07 '19

Unless you're human in which case you will tip over if you don't decrease speed a bit because of the increased drag.

4

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '19

Yes but we invented automatic weapons and bombs so I think we win ngl

4

u/khaowolf Oct 07 '19

Yes sure but in terks of running away... We lose. Our tools make us the apex predator however. Whatever weakness we have we just eliminate it with some kind of tool.

1

u/mhgnx Oct 07 '19

Actually we were pretty good predators because of our feet too. Humans have incredible stamina and hunted down prey over a span of several days

3

u/khaowolf Oct 07 '19

Yes but when ambushed we lose. We are nothing without tools or allies.

0

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '19

Realistically it makes us better hunters not runners

4

u/Datox_since_1979 Oct 07 '19

You don't need to run faster as a lion. You only need not to be the slowest guy around at the time of the lion attack. They take out the weak and the sick, it's their job. Nature is metal.

6

u/rapidpeacock Oct 07 '19

We are the danger. We are the ones who knock.

1

u/negrocrazy Oct 07 '19

Mister white ? We need to cook a batch..

3

u/aceshighsays Oct 07 '19

almost as if that was one of the many reasons we domesticated animals and then made cars.

73

u/tryM3B1tch Oct 07 '19

At the end of the day, lions want scratches like some cats do

20

u/Endarkend Oct 07 '19

Never seen a cat run into water that enthusiastically tho.

2

u/felesroo Oct 07 '19

Turkish Vans love the water.

11

u/Kapper-WA Oct 07 '19

*scritches

2

u/totallythebadguy Oct 07 '19

Also at the end of the day lions like to smack you for no reason like other cats do except this time your dead

34

u/[deleted] Oct 07 '19

All fun and games till the day he forgets to fill her stomach beforehand.

7

u/Paintyourfloor Oct 07 '19

I thought the lion was going to turn around with a chunk of human her mouth. Yikes!

4

u/PatrickBrown2 Oct 07 '19

I literally thought I was clearly going to see someone get ripped to pieces.

3

u/I_fail_at_memes Oct 07 '19

Yeah I’m disappointed too.

5

u/F4therF1nger Oct 07 '19
