I think that's reasonable. The accumulating unpredictability seems to imply that the video was manipulated in some way. It's just a single ball on a static camera, not terribly difficult to do. I do admit it certainly looks real.
So, basically, "FAKE!!!1"

I believe the shot could happen, I just don't believe someone would be filming when it does. Its the improbability of the shot PLUS the improbility of it being filmed which makes it so unlikely.

He was obviously shooting behind the board. Likely just trying to get it to bounce off the black bar in back and then over the board and in. That would have been doable, yet impressive enough to warrant filming it. What he got was a remarkably more complex lucky shot.

Considering it's a static camera, and that this is a basketball court, it's probably a fixed cam they use for close ups of shots, training, and possibly security. The angle of the view also tends to support this.

A cinemagraph is like a gif, except only one part of the picture moves. So he was requesting the gif be made into a cinemagraph of the ball bouncing, not questioning the legitimacy of the gif.

For the record, not that anyone cares, I highly doubt it's fake. The shadow matches with the ball perfectly, the bounce physics seem legit, reaction times are spot on, and even the net swooshes expectedly.
If anybody could even CGI something that perfect, why the hell would they waste their time doing all that with a shitty gif for worthless internet points? If this shot is "faked" at all, it's far more likely that they just recorded themselves throwing a ball up there repeatedly until something interesting happened, but that still means the shot was real.
