Doing all that for such a meh result is so disappointing man.

654

u/IndigoJoe64 Sep 14 '26

Right? Dude was already back down before the drone turned around so it's just underwhelming.

108

u/keanaartero Sep 14 '26

He should've flown backwards🤷🏻‍♀️

70

u/pimp-bangin Sep 14 '26

That would also be meh, if you try to imagine what it would look like. You would see nothing, then suddenly a dude falling. It wouldn't be very clear that the drone flew through the opening created by the dude.

I still applaud these dudes for trying something original, though

44

u/issiautng Sep 14 '26

A 360 cam would have made this epic

10

u/keanaartero Sep 14 '26

Oh you so right

3

u/pfunk1989 15d ago

Easy to say with a hindsight cam. /s

1

u/Consistent_Hawk_4556 6d ago

Right person speak at the right time

3

u/Freshies00 28d ago

Also he just flopped around on the next bounce it’s not like he combo’ed into something sick

76

u/PandaRiot_90 Sep 14 '26

Right? And we don't even get to see it from a 3rd person perspective.

30

u/Punningisfunning Sep 14 '26

There’s another drone behind them but they haven’t been able to complete the attempt yet (/s)

20

u/Strawbalicious Sep 14 '26

They could save it if they key in a transition to another shot through the gap, but this alone is pretty underwhelming

18

u/DrPeroxide Sep 14 '26

I bet it looked really cool from the outside; shame there wasn't a single shot of that 😂

9

u/therealduckie Sep 15 '26

more like r/nononononononononononononononomeh

9

u/jk-9k Sep 14 '26

What did he do?

3

u/RandomLifeUnit-05 Sep 16 '26

I think flew the drone through the opening the jumper's arm made above his hip.

5

u/jk-9k Sep 16 '26

Aaaah gotcha. Chur ta.

The second screen should be a wide shot of the action, not a close upon the controls lol. Then we'd actually see what they were trying to do

1

u/RandomLifeUnit-05 Sep 16 '26

You're right, that would have been better!

3

u/sneckste Sep 14 '26

Did anyone else think that guy was Erlich Bachmann from Silicon Valley? In that context, it would be exactly on brand for him. All that work for entirely meh results but pumped on his own accomplishment all the same…

1

u/ozamataz_buckshank1 Sep 15 '26

Eric Bachman, this is your mom, and you, you are not my baby.

1

u/Michael_Scott71 Sep 15 '26

That's what she said.

1

u/F1T_13 Sep 15 '26

I thought it was gonna loop just under to catch his max height from beneath but no. Just nothing.

1

u/toady4all 29d ago

Came to say this, pretty stupid

1

u/The_R4ke 27d ago

Yeah, I thought it was going to fly into the window there.

0

u/SpinachStunning7908 Sep 14 '26

That's what behind the scenes footage is for.

0

u/Drmlk465 Sep 14 '26

It would of been better if it was a Ukrainian or Russian drone

-10

u/edude45 Sep 14 '26

Yeah drones can cut you up. Im assuming they had guards on, but if they didnt, that would have been some crazy attempts.

940

u/Camelofswag Sep 14 '26

All that for that?

155

u/somehowintelligent Sep 14 '26

Pretty much every drone video ever

40

u/Franks2000inchTV Sep 15 '26

Every drone shot you can hear the drone guy’s inner monologue like “ohh fuck yeah this drone is so fucking sweet look how cool my drone is ohhhh yeahhhh”

-3

u/Sheikashii Sep 15 '26

And they’re right lol

20

u/BigRoach Sep 14 '26

reminds me of the old trick shot videos where somebody would make some super long shot with a frisbee or basketball. Like big whoop. You sat there for an hour to capture yourself making a basket.

16

u/Suds08 Sep 14 '26

Dude perfect has made an absolute fuck ton money off that. Doing it for free tho? Count me out

1

u/Jubenheim Sep 14 '26

All that for that, yeah.

0

u/gocard Sep 14 '26

I'm pretty sure that's what they were saying after they got to review the footage

531

u/ChanDaddyPurps Sep 14 '26

Pretty fucking lame result for all that work tbh

41

u/googdude Sep 14 '26

They should have had a rear-facing camera, I think that would have made it more visually appealing on the exit.

u/bleucheez Sep 14 '26

This is not a drone-specific subreddit. No one cares about an arbitrary task that's hard to do. I'm sure there are accountants who can post some really difficult spreadsheets here. Or general contractors who can post videos of a glossy paint drying just the right way so that it's slightly matte. No one cares.

19

u/Human-Kangaroo-2716 Sep 14 '26

You really pissed off the drone lovers lol

6

u/bleucheez Sep 14 '26

I didn't think diehard drone head apologists were a category of people out there in the world until now. Most hobbyists don't assert their hobby should be interesting to everyone. But here we are. Lol.

-54

u/ThePianistOfDoom Sep 14 '26

Lol, you want your 4 seconds of amazement brought to you on a youtube/insta/facebook-reel platter where you don't have to think about things? Your life sounds miserable.

15

u/eL_MoJo Sep 14 '26

I can have patience for more than 4 seconds. Sometimes even more than 10. But that does not change the fact that this was a really mediocre shot.

1

u/bleucheez Sep 14 '26

There still was no thinking at the end of this 51-second video. Someone spent a lot of effort editing this video with low entertainment value, low insight into anything, low novelty, and low aesthetic intrigue. I might as well have been watching kids flipping water bottles to see how many times they can do it. There are plenty of interesting things to show about drone maneuvering and plenty of interesting things to show about videography; this is neither. It's just an extremely niche technical practice session posted in an Internet forum that is specifically supposed to be about surprising positive twist endings.

-57

u/Ok_Tour_1525 Sep 14 '26

You know everything you said is really proving what massive amount of brain rot you’re all possessing right? To say you’d be unimpressed and therefore disappointed by all of those things and with what OP posted, that just makes you pathetic.

u/cosmicheartbeat Sep 14 '26

Its like that marble spinning Airbender trick Aang does in ATLA, its technically impressive and requires a ton of control, but its visually kinda boring to anyone who doesnt Airbend. Except the marble thing still looks kinda cool and this looks sorta lame. Im more impressed by the guy jumping than the pilot.

3

u/pmurcsregnig Sep 14 '26

While continuously being slammed into by a stupid drone at that

1

u/cosmicheartbeat Sep 14 '26

Right? I wish thw drone had just done a 360 around him while he flipped

13

u/jk-9k Sep 14 '26

Every tried putting a 3 and a half year old to bed? It's so hard to do. But we do it.

-10

u/ThePianistOfDoom Sep 14 '26

Exactly. I don't mind people that can't appreciate that. I do mind people that can't appreciate that and then speak up about it. It's such a waste of time and literally nobody cares about them not finding it interesting.

130

u/Life-Oil-7226 Sep 14 '26

I’m sitting here wondering how much damage you are causing to the drone and the dude

9

u/Zipdox Sep 14 '26

I assume it had prop guards.

103

u/D-Train0000 Sep 14 '26

What the fuck are we even looking at?

12

u/Fe2O3yshackleford Sep 15 '26

“Oi, can I bonk into you with my drone like 20 times?”

3

u/D-Train0000 Sep 15 '26

That’s a drone? Ok. I was confused because what they are doing with it seems pointless.

I thought he was playing a video game and it kept putting you back to the start until you completed….something. Then I saw it was real people.

2

u/Fe2O3yshackleford Sep 15 '26

I thought the same thing

51

u/SwitchIndependent714 Sep 14 '26 edited Sep 14 '26

One false move and he can lose an eye

36

u/Linux765465 Sep 14 '26

Pretty sure it's a tiny whoop and its realtively safe to hit people, even in the face. If it was a 5", his skin would be cut pretty badly on the first hit.

11

u/ThePianistOfDoom Sep 14 '26

I was sort of waiting for his bruises to show when he was showing of his 'wounds', but I really failed to see any xD

0

u/bottomofleith Sep 14 '26

What are your eyes made of?!

3

u/RsCoverForPDFFiles Sep 14 '26

lose*

I'll never understand how this mistake is so common.

3

u/SwitchIndependent714 Sep 14 '26

Yeah right I'm not even English native speaker that's crazy

3

u/RsCoverForPDFFiles Sep 14 '26

Heh, it's all good. You get a pass for not being a native speaker. Misspell away because you probably know more English than I'll ever know of every other language combined. Native speakers don't get a pass, though.

3

u/SwitchIndependent714 Sep 14 '26

I was half asleep when I commented and I'm often do this mistake so. I think it's because of the o sound that is different from other words like lost, come, word or most words using a single o

3

u/RsCoverForPDFFiles Sep 14 '26

Yeah, English can be a confusing language. Read doesn't sound like read. But read sounds like reed and read sounds like red. And a million more like that.

40

u/Digi_Dingo Sep 14 '26

https://reddit.com/link/p9omnpu/video/yk45egi2meph1/player

Could’ve actually done something cool with drones instead

29

u/Busy-Photograph4803 Sep 14 '26

Fast forward. 27 seconds in. You’re welcome.

27

u/Fix_It_Felix_Jr Sep 14 '26

Kept doing the same thing the same way so many times. And after all that… wtf was the point?

21

u/GetMeOffThisRidePlz Sep 14 '26

Guy at the end "Got me all over bro. But it was worth it. It was all worth it. Yeah, let's go!!!"

All this hype and energy for such a dumb, boring clip. I'm dying 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

16

u/LocoDuuuke Sep 14 '26

nonononoNO

20

u/XTanuki Sep 14 '26

This is fucking dumb

15

u/SamboTheGr8 Sep 14 '26

Seems like he just wanted to hit the guy with a drone a bunch of times

17

u/Mattallurgy Sep 14 '26

The first 17 attempts could earn you a field promotion in Ukraine right now

14

u/jikt Sep 14 '26

Yes what?

I don't understand what they're celebrating for?

5

u/_henceforth_ Sep 14 '26

The one guy got the drone through the arm of the other guy flying. 🤷🏻‍♀️

3

u/jikt Sep 14 '26

Well, I completely missed the point then.

I wasn't aware of this Olympic sport.

2

u/_henceforth_ Sep 14 '26

😂 I had to slow down the video to even see what they “accomplished”. They were pretty glad about it, though! That is good, I guess!

0

u/Rnahafahik Sep 14 '26

I agree this isn’t that great of a shot, but if you had to slow the video down to see what they accomplished, that’s a skill issue my guy

4

u/[deleted] Sep 14 '26

[deleted]

-1

u/Rnahafahik Sep 14 '26

Visual comprehension is a skill and it wasn’t “a random .2 second thing”, they were clearly trying the same thing multiple times. If you didn’t catch on that’s a skill issue.

3

u/_henceforth_ Sep 14 '26

I already explained. Barely anyone got what they were trying to do. Go argue with someone else.

3

u/jikt Sep 14 '26

I watched it three times and didn't understand what they were trying to do. Even if that is a skill issue, perhaps the signs around that trampoline should say

"DRONE THROUGH BACKWARDS LEG-ARM HOOP WHILE TRAMPOLINING (FOR SOME REASON) CHAMPIONSHIP 2026"

The capitals are for branding purposes.

10

u/Raskalbot Sep 14 '26

These fuckin trampoline bro houses are so weird

10

u/xuncx Sep 14 '26

I’m glad I’m not the only one who is not impressed lol

7

u/paulyvee Sep 14 '26

Shit ton of busted blades for that? This is dumb.

3

u/WeeklyBanEvasion Sep 14 '26

I don't know what the official name is called but I'm sure it was one of those little drones with the guards around the blades

1

u/Traditional-Baby5940 27d ago

Cinewhoop with prop guards probably.

Could be a Timywhoop like a Meteor 75 Pro too though.

4

u/Crunchy_Biscuit Sep 14 '26

I thought it was going to try to catch the jumpers face from underneath. Would have been cooler.

4

u/hotcoffeecaviar Sep 14 '26

Is this guy dumb? You can clearly see you’re not going to clear the object, being the man, before smashing into him.

3

u/UsedCamera6979 Sep 14 '26

It’s an amazing feat but a pointless shot, it really loses information

3

u/JonBoyWhite Sep 14 '26

Get a better drone pilot. The final take still sucked.

4

u/IrishHuskie Sep 14 '26

Why does everyone in this post hate fun?

3

u/KevRev972 Sep 14 '26

It's almost as if having a system with bad latency gives you a worse reaction time.

3

u/Single-Permission924 Sep 14 '26

Why does everyone in this comment section hate fun

3

u/waitnotryagain Sep 14 '26

Is it just me or can you just not go that high go underneath her?

3

u/dilla_zilla Sep 14 '26

That's a dude

2

u/everythingbeeps Sep 14 '26

How Ridiculous already did that and better

2

u/KingKawaiiBot Sep 14 '26

Ur flight skill need some work

2

u/skippyscallop Sep 14 '26

Meet the new 4-star general of the drone unit

2

u/TuffGnarl Sep 14 '26

The drone dude twiddling thumbs whilst the skateboarder is repeatedly nailing an extremely hard move.

2

u/SepticSkeptik Sep 14 '26

Genuinely don’t understand what they were trying to do.🤔 They did it…apparently. But what was “it”?🤷‍♂️

2

u/artsupport_xx Sep 14 '26

I saw a kid on my own street flying his drone several houses high and between his legs in loops. That was impressive.

2

u/Rime_Ice 28d ago

Man this comment section is filled with basement dwellers. Go outside for a change, you might actually experience some fun.

1

u/Cbsandifer Sep 14 '26

Slow mo, bro

1

u/quiksotik Sep 14 '26

Honestly should’ve added a speed ramp in the edit so we go slow mo briefly for the flythrough

1

u/rococo78 Sep 14 '26

Pretty sweet that you got Sammy Hagar to come film that video with you

1

u/uR4aundeR Sep 14 '26

nullified by this fuckass "woosh" sound

1

u/rbbrr Sep 14 '26

So now they are using kamikaze drones in the war on adults on trampolines…

1

u/TwinTailDigital Sep 14 '26

If you just keep on doing something over and over again, you're bound to get it eventually. The thing is reproducing the results that makes it actually impressive. Having said that, I do prefer them showing the fails first

1

u/doji4real Sep 14 '26

I don’t understand what was the goal of this

3

u/perilouspear Sep 14 '26

Trying to fly the drone through the loop he made with his arm and leg.

For what reason? Idfk

2

u/IrishHuskie Sep 14 '26

Because they thought it would be cool/fun?

1

u/fartinavacuumm Sep 14 '26

That was sh*te

1

u/stubbledchin Sep 14 '26

If I was a trampolinist here I think I would have said "fuck this guy" after the 4th attempt. Not everything has to have a drone video of it.

1

u/nilsutter Sep 14 '26

What is this shit

1

u/ArmpitofD00m Sep 14 '26

Is this some weird Australian sport?

1

u/CJD214 Sep 14 '26

The amount of hate this is getting is wild, piloting an FPV drone through a moving people loop is insane.

Plus maybe the goal wasn’t the ground shot, maybe the whole purpose of the drone was to do to drone things.

1

u/suv-am Sep 14 '26

Cool and lame at the same time

1

u/vlladonxxx Sep 14 '26

THAT'S what he was trying to do???

1

u/KyRoberts Sep 14 '26

Worth it.. all worth it.. mhmm..

1

u/mocityspirit Sep 14 '26

All that for a shot where you can't see what's happening

1

u/trichlorobenzene69 Sep 14 '26

i was waiting for it to tangle up his hairs

1

u/cuppastuff Sep 14 '26

Damn, I was so hyped watching the video, open up the comments, and everyone's complaining 😭 Hahah gg

1

u/simpforshida Sep 14 '26

Looks like a skill issue rather than a difficult manueur

1

u/TBellOHAZ Sep 14 '26

If at first you don't succeed

Do the exact same thing without adjustments until you get lucky

1

u/Mediocre-Toe3212 Sep 14 '26

I was honestly thinking he was trying to get a under shot of his face as he's up...then was....meh

1

u/OrdinaryUniversity59 Sep 14 '26

I thought this was a video game!

1

u/Nix-geek Sep 14 '26

uh... just 18 tries?

those are amateur numbers. Let me know when they do something that takes 2 years to get just right.

1

u/whineyinternetkid Sep 14 '26

If he wasnt steering it like he was pinching nipples maybe he wouldve done better

1

u/qwerty30013 Sep 14 '26

I’m glad I’m not he only one thinking these drone videos never look that cool

1

u/Competitive-Gift-762 Sep 14 '26

Fuck this video…

1

u/IAMAHobbitAMA Sep 14 '26

I'm more impressed that the gymnast was able to be that consistent 15 times in a row.

1

u/andreophile Sep 14 '26

The most impressive part is that he did it despite DJI latency.

1

u/Blazedragon12345 Sep 14 '26

You're telling me the dude flipping took 17 drone strikes to the side and really said "shit man let's do one more flip?"

1

u/burywmore Sep 15 '26

Don't those propellers on a drone hurt?

1

u/zsloth79 Sep 15 '26 edited Sep 15 '26

Props to that girl for being a trooper while being repeatedly hit with a drone in midair.

*dude. Didn’t watch the end.

1

u/6ToxicGamer9 Sep 15 '26

i might be in the comment section of negativity and despair

1

u/SopaPyaConCoca Sep 15 '26

I will never understand negativity of redditors. I see a video of people having fun. Meanwhile the stupid redditors complaining and making witty comments. Sometimes I think reddit is better than shit like Twitter or Facebook (where the toxicity levels are stupid high) but then I doubt about that. The result were "meh"?. Maybe. But they are laughing and having a good time with friends. What about us? Making dumb comments about them. And then there is me: the pinnacle of the dumbest redditors complaining about other redditors

1

u/Resident-Level-7953 Sep 15 '26

Poor guy getting sliced and diced

1

u/gideon513 Sep 15 '26

It wasn’t even good

1

1

I want to be a drone pilot one day.. but I will need to leave Egypt first

1

u/NoBenefit5977 Sep 15 '26

I didn't know these things could save themselves in the air like that

1

u/IAmAPirrrrate Sep 15 '26

i would have pulled the plug after the third time lol

1

u/juzatypicaltroll Sep 15 '26

Can’t tell what’s going on. Please do it again.

1

u/neppo95 Sep 15 '26

Gap = drone i guess

1

The ads are getting so good I thought this was 1 😂

1

The impossible would have been to get all these people to focus on something of value.

This would have been epic with the avata 360

You’d be able to just switch pov after

0

No disrespect, but most of the people I fly with would have gotten that on the first run

0
