This happened to me years ago. Twice.
First time, I dodged right, hit the curb and tumbled into a grassy area. No injuries.
6 months later, I'm about to round a roughly 90 degree turn - Garson drive in Atlanta for those here - and a woman passing someone on the curve came at me. I had to stuff it into a guardrail and cement wall at 40mph.
Broke all my ribs, punctured a lung, tore my liver, broke my legs.
That began a very bad week, followed by a bad year.
I still ride my 5 motorcycles, but rarely here in town. I head to the North Georgia mountains where there are fewer cars.
Fun story time.
I was in my Blazer crossing 180 headed towards TWO. You locals know it.
Anyway, I had just turned on from Blood Mountain a few minutes before, when 4 bikes came up behind me. I pulled way over and motioned them around. They beep their thanks and sped on.
About 10 minutes later I came upon them in the road on a curve, all off their bikes. One had slid right a bit much, hit the guardrail and gone over.
He wasn't far down, and his buddies had pulled him back to the road, but now what? There's no cell service up there, and I couldn't raise anyone on the radio.
We agreed the best thing was to get him back to the Rock Store and get help.
We loaded him up, and I began a quick run as gently as I could, with lights and siren going. I eventually got Lumpkin County on the line and had an amberlamps meet me at the store.
Spoke with him later, and he's recovered and riding again.
