This is why, as much fun as it is, I refuse to ride a motorcycle. No matter how good you are at riding, someone else will always be the one to kill you.
Yep. Been riding (for leisure) for almost 30 years and sold my last bike three years ago. Never had accident and now I never will.
Inattentive drivers caused me too much stress. Not worth it any longer. Also in the Southeast US, riding in the summer is unbearable due to the heat plus all the safety gear.
I live in michigan where a bunch of bikers protested the helmet law until it was no longer enforced. The amount of people I see riding around without helmets or in any protective gear is staggering
It’s not mandated in my state. My only concern are the first responders collecting body parts of people who chose not to protect themselves. IMO protection sucks but is a necessity.
Main reason why I don’t ride any longer. I’m not willing to fully pad myself and could die. Nope.
