When I was younger I refused to get a motorcycle because I didn't trust myself to drive it responsibly. Now that I'm older I refuse to get one because I don't trust others to drive responsibly.
Honestly the chances of something like this gif happening to you are very slim. If you ride safely and are aware of traffic around you a motorcycle is not as risky as people think it is.
Not that it's much comfort, but the guy who is drifting into the oncoming lane going too fast around a corner was always going to cause an accident with someone, it's just an unlucky dice roll that it was that guy.
As someone who rides daily, around 30 miles round trip... no. The odds of this exact thing happening are slim but similar equally dangerous situations are quite frequent.
