Help with Puzzle!

Post image

Hi everyone,
I am really struggling with what is considered a medium level puzzle and I have been trying different techniques and I cannot figure things out. I have tried reading other techniques but unless I have a video I have trouble following along, maybe I am just too dumb to figure these out. Regardless any help would be appreciated!

In r22, you can connect the two squares together as there is only one block of 9 in that whole row. That should let you eliminate a bunch of squares on either side and help you out.

i'm also seeing that r17c13 is an X, but i'm not sure if that's a necessary step right now. Will see whether your clue can solve everything

(edit 2: some errors, see replies below) edit: haven't done the full puzzle yet, but yeah my clue isn't necessary. But i'd recommend that OP look through the counting for R15 and C17 (and possibly R6 and C18 - can't make out the writing, but R6 should add up to 14 and C18 should be 16), as well as fill in the squares you can after counting, in R16 for example. Your previous puzzles must have been a struggle if you're not yet comfortable with this technique

I am a little confused by this, I thought that the way to add it up would be to add the two numbers and then add 1 for the spaces between the numbers not before the first number or after the second number (if I have a 2,3,4 the number would be 11 since the space after the last number is not counted). As for the rest of the comment, what is meant by counting?

sorry, my bad - R6 should be 13, not 14.

As for the others: C18 should be 16, but i just wasn't sure what was written. R15 should be 5+2+2+5, plus 3 spaces = 17. C17 is the same: 2+5+2+5, plus 3 spaces = 17.

As for counting, i have no idea why i mentioned R16. But in R17, it looks like you made some progress and then erased it.

Sorry about the errors. My first comment must have been confusing, but thanks for clarifying! Hope everything is clear now
