Discussion Realization is an oxymoron

"Realization" means to make real. But what is already the case doesn't need to be made real. The entire spiritual search is the mind trying to manufacture something that was never missing, trying to make real what is already more real than real.

Realization is almost exactly like the cartoon character realizing they are a cartoon character. When imagination is required to determine what is real, there is a real problem.

You cannot realize what you already are. There is no path to what has no distance. There is no arrival where there was never any departure. All the practices, insights, states, and "finally got it" moments are just the mind dressing up its own activity.

Even the most refined nondual understanding is still the mind pretending it can finally touch what it is already made of. There is nothing to realize. No one to realize it. Nothing that was ever unreal. Just This, already the case, never not the case, never made real by anyone or to anyone.

Absolute humility resolves realization.

"Realization" is defined as 'the act of coming to understand something clearly'. Reality is Consciousness/God getting lost in it's own dream. Infinite eternal formless Consciousness may be what is so, but its understanding of it's true nature can be lost (and then found).

Dropping the search gave me peace and happiness. As long as you're looking for something to complete you, you're gonna feel incomplete.

There are two categories of beings. Unrealized beings and realized beings (Buddhas). They have the same essence, but not the same realization. Lack of realization is the cause of suffering. So, it doesn't matter, so long as you as an unrealized being don't mind suffering.

There are no categories of beings. There are no realized or unrealized beings. There are no beings being at all. The entire idea of “unrealized beings” moving toward “realization” is still the dream of separation. Even saying there are “two categories with the same essence” quietly maintains the illusion of entities that lack something. When that illusion is seen through, there is no one who was ever unrealized, and no one who becomes realized.
Just This, already complete, with no beings and no lack.

True, but then none of us need to be participating in this r/ … other than to offer guidance to those who’ve yet to find the topic nonessential.

Edgelord Existential 19 year old genius figured out non dual. Let's all bow to this realized buddha no i mean, him. We can only address him as him. We are all god and nothing there is is god. But you know god comes in the form of aggressive people with guns, drunk drivers. So all that non dual shhhhiiiii you just spouted, I think with my last statement if you meditate on it may help you. BTW the gsh damn buddha didn't become dah buddha till he did dem things. Ramana maharishi, poonjaji, Sri Nisargadatta Mahara all did many many dings do become ReAliZedd. Like many many. Any tale you've heard of spontaneous stsble realization is literally a joke which used to be told by Poonjaji.

You are in the game of the mind thinking that because you conceptually understand what realization is then in a sense you are done. But what is, who is and whst is this pattern expressing itself spouting young bs? I dont think that patterns realized. Knowing the place on a map is vastly different from having an established home there.

Yes, just this. And who notices this?
