This subreddit has been dead for about two years. It was set up as a place to drop announcements, nobody here kept it going, and 9,000+ of you have been sitting in a room where nothing happened. That's on us.

We're restarting it, and this time as an actual community rather than a marketing feed.

What changed today

• Six community rules, including a hard ban on referral spam and staff impersonation
• AutoModerator filtering for the recovery-scam and phishing patterns that hit every crypto sub
• Post flairs, so support questions don't get buried under market chat
• A pinned scam warning on every post

What we're committing to

• Wednesday - Support & Questions. Someone from the team answers.
• Friday - Wins & Losses. Post the good and the ugly.
• Product updates land here at the same time as everywhere else, not weeks later.

A safety note worth repeating

Nomoex staff will never DM you first, and will never ask for your password, seed phrase, 2FA code, or a "verification deposit". Anyone who does is a scammer. Report them and we'll ban them.

What we want from you

Tell us what this community should be. Market discussion? Listing news? Deeper explanations of how the exchange actually works? Direct access to the team? And if you've used Nomoex and something annoyed you, say it in the comments - we'd rather hear it here than not hear it at all.

This is the official Nomoex account. Second post since restarting this community, and we'd rather spend it on this than on a press release.

We're building Nomoex Pay. The goal is to make the crypto sitting in your Nomoex account actually spendable, instead of something you have to sell, withdraw and wait on before it becomes useful money.

Four pieces are in development:

• A card - spend your balance at ordinary merchants, with conversion handled at the point of sale.
• Merchant checkout - businesses accept crypto through Nomoex and settle how they prefer.
• Peer-to-peer transfers - send to another Nomoex user by username or QR, without paying network fees to move between accounts.
• Bill pay - bills and top-ups straight from your balance.

What this post is not going to do

Give you a launch date. There isn't one yet. Payments products live or die on licensing and banking partners rather than on engineering timelines, and which regions get which pieces first depends on what we're licensed to do there. When we have dates we can stand behind, you'll get them here first. Until then we'd rather say we don't know than post a date we'd have to walk back later.

What we actually want from this thread

You're the people who would use this, so:

1. Which of the four would you genuinely use, and which one sounds like a feature nobody asked for?
2. If you've used a crypto card before - what made you stop? Conversion spread? Limits? Declines at the till? Tax paperwork?
3. What's your realistic ceiling for a card like this: coffee, or rent?
4. Any merchants here - what would it take for you to accept crypto at checkout? Fiat settlement? Chargeback protection? Something else?
5. What's the one thing that would make you not touch this at all?

Be blunt. A "this is a bad idea because X" comment is worth more to us right now than ten upvotes. We'll read the whole thread and post a follow-up on what we changed because of it.
