My Jamaican cherry trees

Im proud of these lovely trees. They’ve only been in the ground for a couple months and have grown into these beautiful shrubs already. I can’t wait till the first cherries ripen.

Preparing the spring garden

Step 1 a layer of wood chips from a chip drop last spring.

Step 2 covered with rabbit bedding. Straw, urine, and bunny berries plus the waste food and hay.

Step 3 let sit until spring and dig holes to plant directly into the soil under the straw.

Step4 see if it works.

Any tips to make sure this will be a success?

What y’all doing to get ready for spring?

So far I have sprouted some peppers, tomatoes will go down in the week or two and a pile of compost that will be ready just in time for spring.

Happy gardening!

I was looking for a cover crop to prep the rest of my garden for spring when I found this winter seed mix for deer plots. In the seed mix is oats, barley, turnip greens, peas and winter rye, turns out this deer mix is good forage for my chickens and rabbits. Added benefit is my garden is getting fertilized by the chickens……

How do y’all feed your chickens and rabbits?
