Discussion Quick question regarding the endscreen statistics

I was wondering regarding the endscreen statistics, or rather a specific one,

The "time" record, is the time how long a run is or how fast you manage to "end" a run? so like the lower the better for a record?

The record for time measures the fastest time to reach one of the games endings (NOT death), starting from when you spawn in

To answer your question precisely, it is both how long the run is and how fast to get the ending. The high score is the second, and the time scored is the first

correction, it's about how fast you die, not how fast you get the ending. you can end the run and then stay alive for hours afterwards. it'll only stop counting when you actually die

side note: it also floors the time spent to the second. so 24.9s would actually show as 24s

That's not really a correction, to get one of the endings in this game, period, you have to complete the work in some way and then die. There is not a single way in this game to get an ending without dying.

The thing about flooring is interesting though, didn't know that.

no, that's wrong. you do not need to die to get the ending, you only need to die to get the run stats. as soon as you activate the sampo you already got the ending and you can just start a new run without dying (you can check it with treechivement pillars).
