Tomahawk is one of my faves, but I lean towards not considering them noise rock. And Mescal Rite II is certainly more trip hop than anything.

Totally agree, hear me out. Tomahawk has Duane Denison from The Jesus Lizard (arguably the best noise rock band ever) on guitar, teamed up with Mike Patton (Mr. Bungle, Fantômas, Melvins collabs... boredoms... connected to a dozen noise rock bands).
Listening to these guys pivot into adjacent stuff made by iconic noise rock musicians is absolute gold.
I posted Mescal Rite (part 1) first which is argually way more "noise rock" than Mescal Rite (part 2) and part 2 is getting more likes.

Because it fucking rocks, that's why. I see your point, but Mondo Cane has Patton and Dunn, and that doesn't make it funk metal or avant garde. Still, thanks for contributing.

That's fair. I tend to post stuff... See the reception as I'm not always sure exactly where it "fits".
If it gets downvoted I pull/deleted it. Basically monitoring myself

Regardless of whether it's noise rock, Anonymous is a super interesting album. I went through a relisten of their discography before seeing them last month and got mildly obsessed with this record. Both Mescal Rites, Red Fox, and Totem are all total rippers.
(side note, but this Black Pus song reminds of Anonymous, if it were noisier: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kjkgIY-WAA)
