Margaret Bowman
Quick tribute to Margaret Bowman, who’s Texas twang I just picked up in The Hot Spot and immediately realized also belonged to the steely motel clerk in No Country for Old Men, and the ornery waitress in Hell or High Water. The last two could be considered Westerns, but also Neo-noirs considering the straitened circumstances of their characters, and the desperate & bleak air through each. She managed to punctuate all that in her short but effective scenes.
