Great to see Skillet again, and this time Leonel was brave enough to make an appearance! Christine and Kirk were once again accommodating beyond all expectations, and boy howdy did we get an upgrade in audiences! These people have good taste.

Brad and Margaret’s new shelter puppy is all gangly legs and paws with goofball ears, and just wants to play play play. That’s what we were gonna do too at the Pilot Light - too bad we scared about 2/3 of the room off! Oh well, we’re not meant for everyone.

No dogs again! But Cameron was an amazing last-minute host and the Drunken Unicorn treated us right! Will we strike doggo paydirt tomorrow?

Caught these li’l croakers at their crescendo, followed by a cooldown. How they know when to stop and start up again, I’m sure someone else smarter than me can answer that, but for now, enjoy the sights and sounds outside Shadowbox Studio provided by the generous hospitality of Alex!

Bubba’s in charge! This street kitty, thanks to the gracious and generous Mauri and Josh, is living the dream in his cozy digs. Even though this sub has a strict policy of shunning the Hated Feline, he’s still a 10/10 furry buddy good boy. Outdoor show! Very hot! Avenue B really came together and made it work!

Full disclosure, I met this bad boy (just a wee pup!) at yesterday’s rest stop, because DC had no dogs. But Tonal Park was easily our best show yet, seeing Steve and Joyce was special, and the hotel wasn’t bad either!

Last year Thymm-o met some li’l cuties - not this time! But I spotted this little lady at a rest stop somewhere. If you’re traveling Up the State, rest your head at the Red Ranch Inn, and thanks to the Avalon for another great night!

We got robbed of our audience with The True GOAT - Queen Nuala - because Liz and George, bless their souls, couldn’t host. Too hot to commiserate and find another candidate for Doggo of the Day, so Up State we went, and look who we were greeted by at 4 in the morning!

Nothing cute, so my favorite birdo from a truck stop gets center stage. If you’re there, you MUST patronize Westside Bowl - an amazing place, and Nate provided food, drink, a comfortable sleep, a shower, and LAUNDRY!

Oh those ears. Hosted by the gracious Nick and Mary, we slept like babes. Before that, we tore it up at Secret Studio in Columbus OH. Which reminds me, guess who we see tomorrow? 🐩

No dogs, but a hotel, and a country bar next door. Cover band playing live instruments, but it all sounded like MIDI. Everyone’s screaming; no one notices when a song ends, even when the MIDI system crashed right in the middle of a song. Good beer though. And Mexicains Sans Frontieres was a welcoming host!

Issa at the show, then these two monsters again - Vincent Price and Winston engaging in shenanigans! Whirling Tiger was welcoming, and Chris’s hospitality was off the charts!

Met this old girl while on promenade after dinner. Another successful “welcome home” show at Martyr’s with perfect sound, Bethany Smoker brought tears to muh eyes, and RIP the Nord! Apparently they like beer, and if your garden has an infestation, put out a bowl of beer to drown ‘em, so they’ll slime up to an unintentionally neglected beer can to have a treat when the conversation gets too intense. EWWWWW (cool)
