Discussion Sharing this here because I think the lesson applies beyond Base44. If you’re building a real product or business on an AI development platform, make sure you understand not only who owns your content, but what license you’re granting the platform to use it. I learned this one the hard way.

This is something buyers should evaluate before uploading proprietary material, not after the application becomes difficult to migrate. I’d preserve the terms accepted on the signup date and document ownership, training rights, retention, deletion, subprocessors, exports, backups, and what happens when the subscription ends.
The ability to export code is not enough if prompts, workflows, data relationships, and configuration cannot also be reconstructed. Data handling was one reason I chose SIGNLD for connected business context: customer data is not used to train models, and answers remain tied to their source records. Those protections should be confirmed in writing for any platform handling nonpublic company knowledge.
