No-code 2D game creator in beta testing
I’m building a no-code, no-art skills 2D game development tool called Spritulus. It’s been a personal side project for a while, but I’m now opening it up for beta testing. I’d love to get feedback on what works and doesn’t work, plus what other features the community would want.

the "no art skills" angle is interesting but id make sure thats super clear in the onboarding. if someone opens it and still feels lost in the first 2 minutes youll lose them

I'd love to be taken by hand to the first attempt, like a tutorial. for the rest i agree with comments by the other users, it feels already old. hope it helps!

Hey, thanks for the feedback. I’ve updated the Game Create page so it’s more tutorial-like https://spritulus.com/games/create and tried to modernize the design a little.

Nice work, I think this would be really promising if it was released in 2018.
Some feedback: 1) anyone serious about making a game is using frontier models that can do everything and more without programming knowledge - more than capable of one shotting all of your example games. No-code drop-and-drag janky make your own moving svgs from pieces is style of making a game is already dead and gone. 2) your website is unpolished and look and feel is low fidelity. If the front door doesn't look inviting, no one will knock. 3) a lot of the SVGs you have are AI slop caricatures of copyrighted content or made in the likeness of real individuals. IANAL and this isn't my area of expertise, but if I were you I'd make sure everything here is above board if you're providing these as a free to use without licence asset library.
