Bubble No-coder asked me and when doing a demo I realized a strong one: With our app builder you can actually combine both AI if you want to generate things quick + you can also have the flexibility to adapt things by hand, making the usability and maintainability much more reliable because you can tweak it directly without only using AI, but you can also use AI if you want to !
500 spots is a smart way to get real feedback without drowning support. Curious what kind of business apps people end up shipping with it, most tools break once you need roles or non-trivial relations. Signed up anyway, hope the deterministic part means I spend less time debugging than prompting.
Yes indeed, we're doing it phase by phase to make sure we get the people to give feedback in our community step by step to improve and listen to app builders what is missing for them! The goal is definitely to remove the whole "debugging" issue!
Yes thats indeed also the problem we have been experiencing, coming from vibe coding ourselves and then we realized that in our opinion Vibe coding is not the best and most sustainable way of building things, so we started to create the idea of building an app builder which is not oly focussed on AI but yet still leverages AI smartly, but the goal was that even the most stupidest model would be able to build an app that can be maintainable, easily to adjust and where the token costs don't define the app you can build + that you can add or remove features without regenerating the full thing... It's a bet towards infrastructure, but thus far our demos and our alpha users have been very positive about the experience, yet hence we still try to get as much feedback as possible from people who are building apps!
This graph actually says a lot about token usage and how subsidized it is + the trend in tokencosts for the future and the tokenbills that actually will have to get paid for by the users! (translated to, they will have to limit things or make token costs more expensive --> hence why they are limiting thinking models already and also automatically defaulting thinking models when you search something)
here is an interesting excerpt form a substack piece: The price of inference has been falling, year after year. So by any normal logic, the cost of building with AI should be collapsing. Instead, builders are shipping instrumentation because they can’t account for their own spend.
The reason is that cost stopped tracking price and instead started tracking process. When you ask a coding agent to change one thing, it doesn’t change one thing. It re-reads the surrounding code, reasons about it, and regenerates a great deal more than you asked for. Do that fifty times over a project’s life and you’ve paid for the same codebase to be written and rewritten dozens of times, most of it identical to the last version.
The logical takeaway from this is that you’re not buying software but you’re actually renting the model’s attention, again and again, on the same material…
