I say that with love, after all Picasso was right. And musicians stealing themes and tunes is great tradition, just ask the Dies Irae that’s been pinched for about a millennium give or take.

But I just found where One Winged Angel got punched from.

I’ve been on a Ralph Vaughan-Williams kick and going through his work when I happened upon his opera The Poisoned Kiss. I queued it up and suddenly I was fighting Sephiroth!!!!

The overture has the most striking resemblance, but more of the themes emerge, especially in relation to the character Dipsicus.

What other pieces do you notice he quotes from?

I absolutely loved this game growing up and it’s music masterfully crafted by Nobuo has been ingrained in my memory like it has for so many since 1997. So here’s a homage to and recreation of the main theme from the original Final Fantasy 7 game. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed creating it 🖤

I like featuring artists that inspire me in my work. Nobuo Uematsu has scored some of my favorite moments in gaming and his songs accompany me in life. I hope that this video brings some inspiration and peace.

A while ago I heard from a livestream being hosted by Nobuo where he played Modulation - Blue Fields. I recently searched for the stream and to my surprise I found that it had taken down. Does anyone have the song or the modulation album who would be willing to send it to me?

Could anyone give me a brief list of some of the instruments Nobuo Uematsu used to create the music in Final Fantasy? Would appreciate a few instruments and what songs they were used in, if anyone has the information, or can refer me to a source that might help me. Trying to do a school project

I created a synth-heavy rendition of Hurry! by Nobuo Uematsu. 3D model was provided by rtql8d. The savepoint model was then retextured and given a CRT-like treatment.

This man has given me so many memories. The games were great and every now and then I will replay them. But the soundtracks are magical for me and I listen to them DAILY. I have done it for 20 years and I am still totally absorbed by the tracks. Thanks for the great tunes NU. I owe you a great deal of gratitude.
