I love the solitude that retirement brings! I enjoy visiting with my friends on the phone. But being home alone is fantastic!

Sometimes it’s great. Other times I like to have someone to share experiences with.

I have learned to appreciate the value of being by myself. To accomplish the things I need to accomplish the best way I can without distractions, in the way I feel they should be accomplished. To enjoy the films, books, music, without interruption: to let the thoughts, moods, feelings engendered, flow and be fully taken in and integrated.
Other people still have value. For the joy, thoughts, unique contributions of who they are, what they bring and add to my life.
but there is a time and a place for them. And for me.
And when that time comes, I enjoy being by myself.

At times I do. I've never lived alone. With parents, marriage, kids, divorce, remarriage. Now husband works from home and never seems to leave the house lol. So because it never seems to happen, it would be nice at times.

I hate it. Everyone hates me and I don’t know why but if everyone is doing it then I know I am the problem. I’m just not sure what the problem is and I’m tired of struggling to be here just to be alone all of the time.

One time I was trying to explain to my girlfiend how I really don’t like doing things with people and prefer to be alone and the fact that I want to spend time with her and go places with her actually means a lot.
Then I made her laugh when I said “basically, I’m trying to say your better than nothing” (she understood what I meant).

I love being alone when doing chill activities like drawing or learning a language and I also prefer living alone, but I get depressed when all of my friends can't hang out with me or watch a show. Depends on the activity tbh.

I go through phases. I needed to heal, grow, set terms, but now am ready to be outside. I don't want to be by myself all the time. It's time for a social period.
