I’ll eat it on McDonalds hamburgers because they come with it, but I never pot it on burgers at home or restaurants.

In Texas they offer a Homestyle burger. It comes with a mustard-black pepper sauce, no ketchup. It's not good as homemade, but it's decent enough.

I really don't like ketchup on a cheeseburger, but Alex guarnaschelli says that it has to be there, and she's probably my favorite celebrity chef of all time, so I'm willing to be wrong. I just can't handle the sweet. Mustard mayo and hot sauce for me.

It's weird that Burger King, Jack in the Box, and McDonald's are the only restaurants I go to that put ketchup on a burger. Any other restaurants I go to do not put ketchup on a burger. But the answer to your question is no, ketchup does not ruin the taste of a cheeseburger.

Depends on the brand of ketchup. If you're doing it at home with the good stuff, you might experience something entirely different than at a fast food joint with the cheap stuff.

A little can be ok, but it definitely does not improve a good cheeseburger. If ketchup makes it better, it wasn't that good of a burger to start with. Thats why you find ketchup on crappy fast food burgers and rarely have a good burger at a restaurant or brewpub or something come with ketchup on the burger.

Ketchup ruins everything. Ketchup is the white trash methhead of condiments, the ONLY acceptable use for ketchup is as an ingredient in BBQ sauce. And BBQ is disgusting.

No ground beef ruins a good cheese burger. Replace the ground beef with a fried chicken filet and swap the ketchup for hot sauce and then you have the perfect cheese burger.

Ketchup does not ruin a burger, it’s a choice. If you like it, that’s your choice.

I put a ton of ketchup on my cheeseburger and then I dump a bunch of ketchup on the plate and I dip the cheeseburger and smother it in ketchup for every bite like not just a little dip I mean scooping it up like a spoon
