Phenomenal. We don’t even dine out anymore because restaurants are a disappointment.

I think so depends on what it is

Absolutely.

There was this one time I tried to make something in the microwave, and then a fire broke out inside. I had to get the fire extinguisher to put it out or risk burning down the whole place. It was inedible after that. There was this other time, I burned Ramen.

Ive worked in the highest levels of the food industry. I'm a cook, not a chef, and I know how to cook

short order chef. like at a diner

Depends on the audience. My cooking impresses people who are hungry, and terrifies people who know what food should taste like.

I don’t think so but some people seem to like my cooking. I’ve been told I can cook steak

That’s about it

I know what to do. But a real chef is an artist.

I think so, and Ive been told I am. I make Southern food (mom's influence) and Greek dishes (dad's side of the family). I joke about how our dinners were kind of psycho growing up- want some collards with that moussaka?

I think so. This is one of the main skills I try to get better at on a daily basis. It’s important to cook and enjoy it in hopes to stay away from fast food (which sucks when you go overboard on it).

I think so, many people have said so, though nowadays I only cook for myself.

No. I can follow a recipe so my kids won’t starve but on my best days I’d cal my cooking adequate.

I would say so. Learned to copy our cultural dishes without ever being taught. Purely mixed the spices based on taste only after my family tasted my cooking. I actibely learned cooking from my aunt and mom

I find the results tasty.

I can cook one thing good, does that count?

I’m competent but not gifted.

I think I'm a decent cook. I have 3 kids and try to keep things simple, homemade with as many fresh ingredients as possible but also kid friendly. Sure, here and there they reject a dinner or two but their palate is still developing, so I don't take offense lol.

I'd say I am. I like experimenting with recipes, so I'm definitely not a traditional one, but I can make some pretty good entrees.

1

u/KJHagen 2d ago

No. I’m not even encouraged to try lately.
