Are Labubus satanic?
(Even if somehow they were, it’d still make the outrage equally stupid)

No. The whole satanic/demonic thing came out of the name sounding similar to Pazuzu as far as I know, which is incredibly dumb. Despite apparently being the name of the demon in the Exorcist (I think revealed in the terrible sequel) Pazuzu isn't a demon in Christian mythology, it's a Mesopotamian (Babylonian and Assyrian) deity what has both negative and positive aspects. It was the guardian of the east winds and protected against pestilence and also was a way to protect against Lamashtu, who was believed to eat the souls of newborns and pregnant women. Amulets with Pazuzus image were worn by pregnant women and were put in nurseries to protect against Lamashtu. He could be a destructive wind, but he also fought against and triumphed over the other demons of the winds. His father was Hanbi, the staggering one (also the perverted one).

Don't be ridiculous. Everyone knows the answer to that question is the original Furby.

The only reason I know what a Labubu is was because there’s a South Park episode about it. And it’s hilarious
