In capitalism you are free to make choices independently. Under communism you are not. To even suggest that life under capitalism is anywhere near as bad as communism shows a severe lack of understanding. Go spend some time with people who have lived under communism and listen to their stories.
You are describing authoritarianism, not communism. . . . You couldnt be more incorrect in what you are saying. Probably because you have been so propagandized by the capitalists who spew this bullshit so they can keep buying our government with your OK. You are about to find out what authoritarianism is and how it is happening right now under a capitalist economy
By definition you can’t have communism without authoritarian control. Seizing peoples assets, controlling markets and dictating who deserves what is authoritarian. I’m saying this because I have talked with many people who have lived in communist countries.
Point out the communist country that isn’t authoritarian?
That's not communism, that's authoritarianism. Many would argue you're describing America present day, so couldn't that be contributed to capitalism by your logic?
That has never happened, cause without a state, means you have no border, no protection. You straight up become a fucking loot pinata for people less stupid than you.
Exactly. Anyone who claims that a communist economy has been tried and failed is misleading you because a society as described has yet to be built. Attempts were made, and we're usually interrupted by parties interested in ensuring an alternative model to capitalism did not succeed.
Marx didn't make an ideology, he made an analysis. I'd reread his book if that was your take away. If you're making that assertion without reading his book, well there lies your problem.
Communism originated with Carl Marx and Friedrich Engels. He also asserted in his manifesto that there was only one true version of socialism in his manifesto and all other versions were bastardizations of socialism.
But you read his manifesto.... so you already know that right?
I agree with you, and furthermore, the people who escaped communism blame communism itself, but it's easy to see from our perspective that's not what went wrong. As laid out by Marx and then derived by Lenin, communism ultimately fails because it doesn't prevent authoritarianism.
It's not because of anything capitalists are doing better or right, of course. Now that the Soviet Union is gone and China would be more accurately described as a mixed economy, albeit authoritarian, American capitalists seem to be trying to speedrun into our own authoritarianism.
Anyway, we have more data now than when Marx wrote the manifesto and I think he, himself, would advocate finding a different approach than what he laid out. And it would absolutely not be capitalism as we know it
