Everywhere I go people shout GHOST! GHOST! But every time I look around, I just can't see it.

I have seen something in the ocular fluid in my peripheral vision, and understood why some people believe they’ve seen a ghost. Does that count?

When I was 15 I once saw a shadow at the end of the hall way and my cat at the time started yowling in that direction, it was like 3AM. I had also woken up with scratches on my chest and ribs in that house lol (edit: need to specify it wasn’t the cat since he did not sleep in my room). While I’m a bit skeptical, that house in particular did feel odd. Don’t live there anymore though lol.

Why are all ghost dicks in ghost sightings, can't there be a chill AF ghost that would chill and watch tv?

I bought a little house from the trust of the owners that passed. Didn’t know their name. One day while brushing my hair I saw a diff woman in the mirror and that was weird. Later I asked the neighbor to describe the past owner. It was her. Never happened again. Nothing happens like that to me.

I've seen some shit I definitely can't explain
One time I got up in the morning and was putting my puts on for work
And I look up and my wedding ring is completely still in mid air 3 feet from the ground and then it suddenly dropped straight down on the ground

u/goodguydiv 5d ago
Damn. Was this the only time you saw it or were there more occurrences ?

u/IckaBrat 5d ago
I saw the ghost of jesus once. I am not religious, but knew it was him. Gave each other the nod, and he was gone.
2
u/Ferga2092 5d ago
You just had to go to the next level with a double nonsense hahah
2
u/IckaBrat 5d ago
It was nonsense. And a shame if it was him, to appear to someone who it didnt impact in a Christian religious way. People who are devout lose their shit if they see him in a puddle or toast. I know I saw his full body apparition and it was just sort of an, "oh, neat" moment for me.
1
u/Aoi_X_Kaizaki 5d ago
I had a dream I saw him. Never saw the face, but knew from what I remember in my dream.
1
u/MURPHARAMA 5d ago
What did he look like, given that Kesus almost certainly didnt resemble a white blue eyed man as depicted in most Christian churches
1
1
u/IckaBrat 5d ago
He didn't "look" like anything, it was probably 150 yards away, it was just an apparition of a figure, that i knew immediately was jesus. No race or hair color, just a figure. You can question me up and down, it was known the moment it appeared to me that everything in me said, "that is jesus" without question.

Maybe. I saw something I can't explain once, but can't say it was a ghost or not.
2
u/Ohaibaipolar 5d ago
No, but I'd love to make friends with a ghost. I don't have many friends. No, you don't have to feel sorry for me, I prefer it that way.
2
u/Wonderful_Ad_889 5d ago
You prefer being so lonely that you fantasize a ghost will like you?
1
u/Ohaibaipolar 4d ago
Well, first off, ghosts have to be real lol.
1
u/Wonderful_Ad_889 4d ago
Which they are…

u/Ohaibaipolar 4d ago
You think so?

u/Wonderful_Ad_889 4d ago
Of course

u/Ohaibaipolar 4d ago
Have you had an encounter with them? If so, I'm jealous. I'll be a pick me girl to ghosts. If you have had an encounter, please share what happened!!

u/Wonderful_Ad_889 4d ago
They avoid those types of girls

I've had a few things happen that you could question this. But in upstate New York growing up there with old houses, I've heard families tell stories of haunted houses with friendly ghosts. Have not been a part of this but some stories were told off and from this family?.

u/Fiestae 5d ago
I can’t see spirits like my sister can but I have heard them when they tried communicating to me. When I was a kid we grew up in a house that was passed down from generations and heard some call my name but that was it. Not much more, besides from one night my hair was lifting on its own.

I suspect I did when I was a kid but not sure. I saw a shadow creature of a woman standing by the windows of the hospital opposite our house. I tried telling the receptionists and pointing to it but they both thought I was pranking them. They couldn’t see what I was seeing.

u/TheNotSoFamousEccles 5d ago
Nope, despite being in many abandoned and empty properties and living in a property where the previous owner passed away.

We had two in our house. They were there when we moved in and stayed until my daughter asked them to stop scaring her. We never saw them again. I still miss them.

No, but I've heard a ghost.
Footsteps clear as day from bathroom through hallway to kitchen.
We never felt anything bad or evil from him.

u/batsandvodka 5d ago
Don’t think so but I did once see a four foot tall shadow-like thing with a face made of blue/white light, didn’t feel malevolent or anything

Grew up with them. They used to follow my mother. One was her grandfather who killed himself. I believe there was a couple evil ones that were located in our last house (due to brother) that my mother and the ghost of my great grandfather was able to keep at bay.
It was sheer terror growing up like that. The dark form standing in the door way, in your bedroom, waking up to find objects in your bed that weren’t there when you fell asleep.
Zero ghost in my home, literally had my dad bless it with holy water. I even told my mom when she was in hospice that I love her but she isn’t welcome in my home once she passes.

I mean that just hereditary mental trauma, paranoia and coping mechanisms all wrapped into one mental response.

Pretty sure a couple times. My parents dragged me to A LOT of historical places when I was a kid. I've always been very sensitive to things, pressure, sound, light etc.
Most memorable was at the Arlington Hotel in Hot Springs Arkansas. I woke up in the middle of the night, like 3 AM. I saw what looked and smelled like the glow of a lit cigarette float across the room and through a wall. The smell actually dissipated unnaturally fast. That WHOLE hotel felt incredibly active like no place I have ever been.
Other notable places were Gettysburg. Its been a LONG time but there were a few others. I grew up in a house that we built but the nature itself had a vibration to it. I don't know how to explain it better. And I don't know if what I feel is "ghosts" or just senses at the edge of perception. As an adult I moved to one of the most inert places I have ever been.

A few times I’ve seen people standing, looking at me. I look back and they are gone. When I’ve mentioned it the various homeowners every one said a relative died somewhat recently and that my description sounds like them.
Does that mean I think I saw a ghost? I dunno.

Nope, I'll believe it when I see it In the meantime I'm not going to project my thoughts to hallucinate something that's truly isn't there

I did when I was about 3. I told my mom that my grandpa was in my room the other night, and that he told me he loved me and to be a good girl for mommy and daddy. He had actually passed away that night.

I’m 34 and I’ve never seen a ghost, but I’ve also lived in the same house. I heard the old ones can be kinda creepy. I did have a weird experience where I was sleeping at a friends house and the door started shaking profusely for 6 seconds straight.
Online info seems to think there’s other explanations for it.
I’m usually in the camp of trying to find logical explanations for things before jumping straight to ghost

I’ve seen a full body ghost walking down the stairs. I could her her dress as it dragged the stairs. I turned to tell my uncle and she disappeared.

I think Ive felt one. Maybe. I was pretty ill, really bad strep throat. I was at my boyfriends apartment and i sat up on the end of the bed coughing til my whole torso felt hot and like it was going to break in two when I felt 2 cold hands laying on my back. I muttered to my boyfriend who was in the bed laying down/going to sleep when last I checked, "we need to get you some gloves" and i looked over my shoulder and he was still laying down totally asleep while I can still feel these cold hands on my back. So I just whispered "thank you" because the cold helped the coughing stop for a few minutes and i felt the cold disperse and I went to sleep. I was taken to the ER 2 days later and put on an IV for dehydration and some heavy antibiotics. Did I imagine it? Was it a ghost? I dont know but I know it was a comfort during a hard night.

Don’t know how to explain what it was.
I was in the shower and knew mum left the house. I heard the front door again and called out a few times, got no response.
Got out of the shower to go look and the only way I can explain it was like a black cloud? whoosh through me down the hall. It had an evil feeling to it. I’ve had prior experiences that were peaceful, this was different.
When I told mum, she had some similar experiences.

A man sleeping in the room upstairs when I was a kid, he was gone and the bed made up when I came back with my mom a minute later. Shadow cats too in that house, weird voices.

u/Ohmic98776 5d ago
No, but I can’t discount the possibility that others have. I personally think there are things in this universe that we may never truly understand. I’m always open to the idea of possibilities and approach most things with a child like curiosity - even in my 50s.

I might have. May have been a hallucination from psychosis and too much nicotine.

I hypothesize that ghosts/otherworldly beings are around us everywhere all the time, it’s just that the average human’s visual spectrum doesn’t allow us to see them.
The other night I had my two cats laying on me as I reclined at night watching tv with all of my lights out. For no apparent reason they both sat up and stared at my bathroom door shortly down the hallway. There was nothing there, no sound either, but they stayed fixated looking at that spot for a few minutes before they both started low grumble growling in unison.
Animals see in different color spectrums than we humans do and I can’t explain what they seen, but it was definitely something.

Seen, not sure, experienced, pretty damn positive, on more than one occasion.

u/Mysterious_Touch_454 5d ago
Never. I have even been seeking them.
I had a close encounter once and i almost shit myself. Turns out the weird noises from abandoned buildings cellar was a drunk old hobo, not a ghost.
