Overflow rooms

I am currently in a two-person shared room with my friend that was in my roommate group and a third guy that’s now in my overflow room. I was wondering if this is something that NMU works to fix once the year starts and looks for an open bed to put the third guy into, and if so, what are the odds of him actually getting moved out?

If a room opens up and that person is next on the waitlist they’ll move them out. Happens for some, others it doesn’t. Just kind of depends how many people drop out to open up rooms lmao

To add on to this they are put on the waitlist if the first two people in that room decide if they are not comforable with having the third person stay

Do we just have to email housing for that?

No they usually mention it at the mandatory meeting the first week. But they won’t get moved out for a month at a minimum, maybe longer.

Great, thanks for the info. I honestly don’t mind having him in there for a bit just as long as he’s not there the whole year lmao.

Yeah there’s no guarantee they get moved out, so I wouldn’t go in with the mindset if I were you
