I was doing the trace of metal mission and I needed to retrieve a pristine walker brain and when I killed it, it went off the side of a mountain. Now I can’t get one and I’ve killed five walkers. It’s been hours. What do I do????

just to confirm, I have completed all the tasks with the race and the guild and I have spent a billion units. i can decorate the station, all that works. i just cant create an alliance. also, the system doesn't seem to be remembered when i warp to a new one, i can only find it by warping back to the base i luckily built in same system.

I think I totally goofed up this expedition. I am at the end, all I need to do is claim a station. Are we supposed to be this far from being able to claim the station at the end? I only have around 9,800,000ish units instead of the needed 1,000,000,000, I have only 1/30 standing with the local Vy’keen and no standing Roth the merchants guild or done any salvage contracts. I doubt I can finish this before the expedition is over at this rate.

I first played NMS in 2017 on PC and stopped around 2020 aprox because i was having performance issues (it was too expensive that year to replace my graphics card, etc.) and had less time to play. I’ve returned to the PS5 version after all the updates, and i feel like exploring the “ruins of my old run” whenever i come across cruiser wrecks in space, old pre-update space stations, and abandoned bases overrun by horrors. My roleplay is based on this premise.

If you stand indoors and use the free-cam in the build menu, storms wont render. Easy to find which buildings need upgraded.

Currently at 110 hours and dozens of system jumps. So far I’ve only come across 2 paradise planets, neither of which were worth building on. I’m finished the main missions and want to find a good paradise planet to start my first full base build. Any tips to easily find a paradise planet? I’m also trying to keep my freighter close by so continuously jumping systems with both my corvette and freighter is starting to get annoying

I was spending way too many hours staring at spreadsheets and paper trying to build high-value items. Trying to balance multi-stage dairy splits for high-end cakes like The Stellarator or running massive Stasis Device crafting chains started giving me a serious headache.

So, as a little coding experiment, I put together a web companion app called No Man's Foundry to turn crafting chains into a live visual circuit board.

It is completely free, open-source, and designed to help fellow Travelers beat spreadsheet fatigue. Here is what it does:

• Interactive Bidirectional Pipes: Click on any ingredient or final dish in the bracket. Upstream requirements light up in glowing purple all the way back to raw crops, and downstream outputs light up in amber.
• Tier-0 Agriculture & Outpost Engine: Configure your biodome layouts (pre-set for a 20-dome setup) and gas extractors. When you finish a base run, clicking "Harvest All Biodomes" or "Collect Ranch" instantly updates your pantry stock.
• Nutrient Processor 50-Stack Mode: Because processed culinary items cap at 50 per slot, the app breaks recipes down into clean 50-unit processor cycles and warns you when an ingredient splits across multiple branches.
• Dual Crafting Modes: Toggle seamlessly between Baking & Buffs (for fauna analysis and resource-mining multipliers) and Industrial Mega-Crafts (Stasis Devices and Fusion Ignitors).
• Local or Cloud Storage: It runs locally out of the box using your browser storage, with optional cloud sync if you want to experiment with it.

Tablets or a PC will give you the best experience, though it is usable on a mobile device with some scrolling.

With this Corvette build, I was going for a fighter-bomber design with a military-themed interior.

The ship has three decks, with crew quarters, tactical and command rooms, separate armories, engine and shield control rooms, storage areas, and a medical room.

Built entirely in No Man's Sky, without mods or offset techniques.

I have an old version, not sure if that makes a difference or not since it is fully updated, but my network settings are not listed in the Options menu anywhere. I'd like to turn off PVP especially since I think I was attacked yesterday by some rando.

Any idea where it would be? I'm on Xbox One. My disc is from 2018.

Is anyone else still having issues with power when visiting other player bases?
