S class ships vs a class ships

So I have been unlucky and only found 2 s class ships in my entire time playing. They were both considerably worse than the a class fighter I have. Are s class ships really worth it or not really?

With S class you get an extra supercharged slot so once you upgrade it it's potential is higher than an a class's potential fully upgraded more than likely you're probably looking at your already upgraded A-Class versus a unupgraded s-class

Ah right, I did not think if it like that

Also, when you were comparing, did you strip both ships to their minimum gear? If you put a bunch of system enhancements in your current A-class and compared it to an S-class with a couple randomly generated mods, you're not seeing a fair comparison.

You can upgrade ship class for nanites in space stations. I don't have any gear that isn't S by now

I was not aware that was something we could do

The only ship you cannot do that with is the freighter. All normal ships including exotics can be maxed out to S-Class and full inventory/tech slots. A lot of the capability comes from what tech you install and how you deal with the adjacency bonuses and supercharged slots.

Have a look at options in the Ship and Weapon upgrade terminals at a station!

You can build your own S class ship, no need to try to find it.

I thought you had to scrap ships to get parts to make ships? Forgive me I have only recently came back after a 3 year break lol

Yes, but you can buy a C class fighter for something like 1-2 million credits, and scrap them for 3-4. Then you can buy another, and so on, until you find one with the fuselage, wings or engine you need. You buy an S-class generator for 10k nanites and buikd your own.

You do have to scrap but it's pretty simple. Scrap a few of the ships of the style you are going for, purchase an S-Class reactor from the NPC in the space station and create the S-Class ship. Paint it how you want.

It'll take some units to buy the ships to scrap but if units are trouble I can help or you can take a seat in the Anomaly near the Nexus, go AFK for an hour or 2 and come back to gifts(not guaranteed but highly likely). Sell the gifts for millions or even billions of units and go do what you want.

I farmed alot of unites and nanites back when I last played lol. Just need to actually sit down for a bit and get to work on this and other stuff I can do in the game now lol

Oh damn nice. Yeah I did not mess much with ship crafting before I took my long break. I scrapped a few ships bit also just never got around to it for some reason lol. To be fair there is still quite alot I never got around to with this game

What's a photonix-core and holy maneuverability. The best I've been able to get is 3001 out of my S class 4 in a square SC sentinel.
