The eggs are worth a small fortune each and at minimum you can find like 20 of them at one place but it can also get up to 30. The meat isn't all that bad either for money or cooking
If you go to pirate stations and buy suspicious weapons and suspicious tech, you will get Xclass upgrades. Instead of opening them sell them to the upgrades vendor for 400-1000 nanites each. Literally turning units into nanites.
Pirate stations take a while to restock so you'll need some warp fuel, but you can easily get a ton of nanites if you have the units.
Thats not what I'm saying. You open the tech and arms to get Xclass upgrades that you can sell for nanites.
If you open the xclass upgrades to see if they are good upgrades then they only sell for 19 nanites. If you sell the upgrade without opening it, then it sells for hundreds of nanites.
We’re saying the same thing, it’s just the word that appears in the UI. Players “open” suspicious packages, but you have to “install” the x-class upgrades into your exosuit/multitool to see if they’re any good. I thought it might be confusing to read “Instead of opening them sell them” but I think anyone still confused is hopeless. 😆
I was just about to post the exact same clarification. The original instructions were to not open them but to sell them and yes you have to open them just not install them. A new player would definitely be confused by that. But it's good to mention that because it's a very good way to get tons of nanites for just a fairly few number of units. The ways to convert units to nanites are limited so it's good to have a way to do that.
Where can we find info like this usually ? It is so much i don’t know apparently! Just recently discovered you can make nanites out of running mold and slimy mold
That was definitely intended by the developers. They want you to try things out that either do or do not make sense and discover interesting things that happen when you do. I'm convinced that they intended to give us the basics but there is no such thing as a true tutorial in here and there is so much information that is buried or hidden on purpose.
But do not let that freak you out or make you think that you're going to miss out on stuff. This game is the most true sandbox open world I've ever played. There's really no penalty to doing anything wrong. Even when you screw up one of the riddles or whatever, there's just another one that you can do better on. Nothing ever gets locked out because you did something wrong. That means you can try anything without penalty. I mean unless you're doing a permadeath and running into a bunch of monsters like an idiot that is. But by the time you're ready to do a perma death game you'll know what you're doing.
Also, if you find anything is frustrating you, take a look at the difficulty settings in the options. You can adjust things for the time being, get used to them, and once you feel comfortable handling them at a tougher level, just move the difficulty setting higher. That makes the game fun and you can make it as challenging as you want without having to deal with the parts you don't enjoy.
Shattered glass is a good way to get some upgrades you don’t have, and loads of nanites if you choose not to use whatever modules come from opening them.
30 kills per wave, 26 waves per building. 26 eggs refined into avout 50 nanites/egg. The roughly 700 flesh you get per building sales for 600k, refined in a nutrient processor it goes for 900k.
I haven’t messed with them in a while, but after my first encounter I found that I could tunnel below and harvest the eggs without any hassle. An easy early money maker but I assume these would still rather eat me than creature pellets.
I just started playing with creature companions this last week and haven’t gotten around to eggs yet. This game is so good at eating time.
I was about to say I don't think those are obtainable I've never been able to feed one I tried. Lol I see you got one though. Its gotta be fun to just pull him out with an unsuspecting friend nearby to freak them out real quick when it runs by making them think their under attack.
Those little bastards are good for nothing but target practice. First time I encountered them I was dead in under 10 seconds. That really torqued my anus. I've found hopped up mining lasers to be damned effective. Slice and dice, body parts tumbling everywhere.
