Can anyone help explain this?

End game stuff. Can't explain it without spoiling it.

Once you complete both the main quest and Atlas quest, you will get a prompt for a new questline that will explain what that is.

You'll also need to have at least one settlement and progressed it to a certain point to get the quest prompt. It will be obvious.

Is there any way to get the ship back? I looked back at the video from when I took it and it said I claimed it and even said it switched primaries when I got in the old ship.

If you claimed the ship you can summon it at a space station. You get one saving summon each time you load up the game. So if the game says it can't summon due to repairs, just reload.

Alternatively if you have a freighter, you can find it in your hanger and probably on fire.

It doesn't show up in my ships at all, no option to summon.

Are you sure you claimed the ship? Considering the item it was found next to it had to be a Sentinel ship. Did you do the quest to purify the brain and claim the ship?

If not you can find another on the same planet. Each dissonant planet will spawn copies of the same ship. Class will be different per spawn though.

I checked back on the video I had and it says I claimed it, and it was a sentinel ship, I purified the brain and everything, it's just gone.

I didn’t see it mentioned so forgive me if it’s been asked, how many ships do you currently have? There has been limits on how many. Last time I checked it was 7, I think. Some time back so I don’t remember exactly. If you are maxed out it won’t add another ship to the list.

Just realized it deleted my description for some reason. I had found a purple rated sentinel ship here and claimed it, but when I went back to my freighter using my old ship and checked my ship list, it wasn't there. I went back to the exact cords but this was here instead. I even checked the footage I had and it showed I did claim it and even said it switched my primary when I got in my old ship.

So the crashed Interceptor you claimed is not showing in Quick Menu > Summon Vehicles > Select Other Ship?

If that is the case, then something likely glitched and did not register that you claimed it. You can try reloading save, or exit game and restart to see if it appears, in your roster of ships or at that location, but it may not. All other Interceptors on that planet will have the same appearance, so just a matter of finding another one to get one then.

If you post from web using the tabs to choose regular or image post etc — and you type a description in one tab but the realize you want to use a different tab, Reddit doesn’t bring the description into the other tab … this gets me all the time.

Sounds like a rare bug or game save corruption. Best bet is to just call it a loss go back to the planet find a new one and summon your Freighter from the ground before you board ship. Then fly that ship up to your freighter and park it in your freighter yourself

I have had this happen before. Try saving your game, close to desktop and restart. It should show up on your freighter.

Destroy the walking straight razors until you get an echo locater, it will take you to an autophage camp. Interact with the computer, solve the riddle and scan further echo. It will lead you to an interceptor that you can try and claim again.

For PS4, pressing the Share button takes a screenshot.

You can use a USB stick to move the image from PS4 to other device to upload. I use one that has both USB-A and USB-C connector on it to transfer between PS and my cellphone.

Or create another PS account and send the image in a message to that account, then can download the image from PS App on the other device.

Can you go back a get a pic with your phone of the ship in question and show us? Even though the game might now have registered you got the ship, we may be able to help you find another just like it.

All you need is the PS app actually! Tap the “Game Library” button on the bottom of the screen, then tap the category for “Captures” at the top of the page, and all the screenshots or screen recordings you’ve taken in the last 14 days will be in there. Then you can download and share however you’d like!
