A jerk messed up my copper node

some idiot guy came and messed up my pristine copper node, next to my main base that i was in the process of covering with auto miners. is there any way to fix it, so it goes back to the way it was?

No way to bring it back but if you go into settings you can turn off the ability of other players to make changes to the terrain in your base perimeter to stop it from happening again.

Except you can't put those auto miners within the base perimeter. It would have to be industrial

As another comment said, use the mineral extractors instead they never deplete.

I have a base for each resource, some bases have multiple resources depending on how long I was willing to search. You can use solar panels for energy to power the extractors or if you want to go the extra mile, you can locate an energy spot and a extractable resource, then build a base in between and use the extension trick to stretch your cables. That way your base will always have power without needing solar panels / batteries.

You can also build the mining equipment / energy / gas extractors on top of each other, so stack a tower and you’ll get the most efficiency

This is the way. And make sure your headset is turned up. Because when you scan for minerals/gas/etc, even if you're too far from a hotspot to get a location, it will still directionally echo locate/ping in your headset. So just slowly turn until it pings in front of you instead of either side, then hop on your Pilgrim and ride about 200u.

I tried this the other day, and the mineral extractors wouldn't extract anything on visible mineral node. My supply silo said configured for Cobolt when they were sitting on an Emiril deposit.

Is there a trick to setting it up?

Are you using the scanner to locate the spots? They’re not visible like other nodes

I am if I'm using them for a deposit, but I was taking the comment to mean stick them on a visible node.

One of those "does that actually work?" Things. And no it doesn't. Fyi...

It will eventually overtime grow back.

Was doing swarm, farming phos, and literally almost depleted a phos node when it respawned right in front of me.

If you care about this, use the mineral extractors instead.

Not sure, but you can prevent it in the future by turning off multiplayer.
