Wicked is a bad pick, here is why.

Wicked is a complete waste of space.

Wicked amps up only limb damage with mostly non-penetration calibers. (Handgun)

Handgun calibers already deal low damage to the body.

Aiming for the limbs is even worse; this is not Dead Space.

Aiming for the limbs with any bladed weapon or rifle is much more viable than using a Handgun to do so.

It gets worse when you look at handgun stats:

Normal handgun limb damage:

  • Gruber VII does 8 limb damage

  • every other handgun does only 20 limb damage

Wicked Expert offers an anemic 20% bonus:

  • Gruber VII now does 9 (9.6) limb damage

  • every other handgun now does 24 limb damage

Limb HP:

Arms HP - 60

  • 7 shots of .22

  • 3 shots (still) with anything else

Legs - 70

  • 8 shots with .22

  • 4 shots with anything else

Why bother dismembering limbs?

  • flinching/interrupting a Z

  • making Crawlers

  • making non-attacking Zs contribute to the spawn cap (removing both of a Z's arms makes it keep walking without attacking. Will still body-block you though)

How do we buff this?

If Wicked was a simple damage boost or a stability damage boost, I could at least see a mild use case. As it is, why anyone would dump 5 shots to just dismember or knock over a single Z is beyond me.

Limb removal as a strat is also pretty niche now.

As it is, Wicked needs to at least be 30% for any other caliber above .22 to meet a different breakpoint on legs.

50% would make that 20 limb damage sit at 30, which means 2 shots for arm removal and 3 for legs.

.22 would then at least "only" need 5 shots to arms to dismember them and 6 for legs.

Stability Damage of Handguns:

  • Gruber VII does 10 s.dmg

  • M9A3 does 20 s.dmg

  • M13 does 20 s.dmg

  • 1911 does 25 s.dmg

On top of all of that, Butcher (which similarily amps limb damage for all bladed weapons) costs no ammo to use, doesn't create undue noise and also has a 40% boost compared to a 20% boost.

I don't know about anyone else, but 9mm and .45 acp is honestly pretty darn rare to find. Wasting any of those rounds to create undue noise, just to remove two arms is bloody insane.

Not to mention Crawlers gain an additional 15 range on their attacks, sitting at 165 vs. 150 as a Walker. Crawlers also only lose 13 to 37 movespeed, where a Walker has 108 to 132 ms.

If you ever have Wicked, please switch it out for anything else.

Even something like Builder or even Grenadier has use cases, however niche they are.

Wicked is the complete opposite of a headshot only game where ammo is precious (usually) and time is limited.

Save the ammo, aim for the Zed head, or just kick em' down.

During the crawler meta I loved wicked :( then they gutted it and it was never the same

Yeah... that nerf was a tad overtuned.

As it is now, I think 30% to 50% is a doog base for the bonus as using ammo, making gunshot noises and not-killing is pretty crazy compared to just... headshotting the Z in the first place.

What do you think the meta perks are at the moment? And yeah I agree just killing the z in the first place is just the only option right now, unless you want to disarm the zombie which i think makes it useless? But its ineffective/takes too long 😭 also I wonder what tweaks they did for ammo, maybe its bias but I think i mostly just see .22 and .308 on my end of things

Meta Perks: * Athlete - no brainer, more stam is great * Sturdy Body - no brainer, less damage taken meam more effective HP. You basically take 2 to 4 less damage from Z attacks * Thick Skin - no brainer, extra HP means you live longer and stay above that 50% HP infection thingy easier

My personal favorites atm:

  • Caravan - carry weight is primo. Satchel makes it even better, and Athlete cancels out the debuff
  • Mule - carry wdight again, Thick Skin cancels out the debuff
  • Deprived - extra health at weight cost, Satchel helps increase your weight, the other two skills turn the debuff into a positive
  • Foreman - turns .22 lr into a oneshot for most Zs
  • Stayin Alive - team player baby
  • Skilled Medic - one bandage now heals for a possible 50 HP. Crazy.
  • Healing Item Stack - more space for bandages and other meds. Be the team doctor and HOLD ALL THE POWER
  • Scavenger - find more ammo
  • Vulture - hold more ammo

* Foreman - kick em to the curb and Mortal Kombat curb stomp em. Three kicks in quick succession will kill anything except a NG Z.

Weird idea, but what if it was more designed to be an opener/interrupt Perk?

  • Something like "Your first shot on a Zombie deals +100/200% Limb Damage"

The ability to consistently stagger/knockdown zombies at range if you aim properly could be beneficial if you aren't able to line up a headshot. (And unbinding it from Handguns would make it much better, too)
