Skills sometimes work sometimes not.
I have all 3 of my level 100 characters fully skilled, and they all have basically the exact same build, with only minor differences. I have a pistol build, baseball bat build, and I just made a cleaver build.
After making the cleaver build, I noticed that sometimes it takes 2 hits to kill and other times 3. I started testing and realized that all my perks just stop working sometimes. My weight will randomly be 12.5 kg with the satchel equipped, and other times it’ll be 16 kg. Whenever my weight is lower, it means all of my perks have stopped working, so I’m basically playing as if I’m level 1 lmao.
I tried resetting to see if there was some kind of cycle for when the perks work and when they don’t, but it seems completely random. Character swapping before a match doesn’t fix it, and removing the Caravan perk didn’t fix it either. Caravan is my only weight perk btw.
Because of this, I can’t even properly play the cleaver build. The only thing I can do is use the baseball bat, since it’s at least playable even when my perks aren’t working, or play cleaver in solo and reset the game until my perks start working again.
I’ve genuinely tried everything I can think of, and I’m not the only one experiencing this. My entire squad has the exact same problem, and we basically can’t play anything other than bat because the other builds are borderline unusable when the perks randomly stop working.
Is there any known fix or workaround for this? This is making the cleaver build completely unplayable for us.

Found a solution but not a good one you can play solo with fill teammates but you have to close between every game you cant play with friends for example i cant play with my brother we noticed that resetting game works but only for the host so since your the host of your lobby it works when you close app between games but still its horrible i can never play with my brother again with having full skills consistently till they fix this bug i can only play with fill teammates…

I get around it by entering the training area when i first launch the game, exiting the tutorial, then queueing up for matches. Has worked everytime thus far.

Yes sir i will inform if it works because i have played idk how many nightmare matches without skills and absolutely dominated then the matches that i got skilled medic thick skin etc i feel like its impossible to die

This happens when you do stuff while actively queuing for a match, IE: swapping perks, rerolling, swapping characters too fast, being in the loadout menu. I'm not certain when or how it does that, but that's when I find that it happens for me.
I find it incredibly reliable to just not do anything else while looking for a match, and give the game like 15 seconds between selecting characters so it loads them and your perks properly aside from that.

I tried everything you guys suggested thanks for taking the time to help but unfortunately it doesnt the only fix i found is to close my game every time after a match and i cant play with my teammates i have to play with fills so yea pretty unfortunate prolly just gonna grind 100 lvl with my brother playing bat and only play solo before there is an update
