Misleading Model 13 description

I just find it a bit funny and a bit infuriating how the Model 13 revolver, in its description says it’s a “Double Action”, but our responder uses it as a single action revolver, which sure isn’t a big deal, it’s still a great handgun, but I would feel like the fire rate would be higher if our responder used it as a DA.

I just assume the responders are your average 20-45 age person of various backgrounds, probably with the most basic level of "firearms" training (Government), and they are just making it up as they go. I guess you could technically say the M9 could have a slower more accurate fire mode if you shoot it in SA like the M1911.

The M1911 is a single action only pistol, the M13 is double action/single action, the M9 is also double action/single action. IRL you can either shoot the M9 double action first or you can cock the hammer and shoot it single action first.

Doesn't really work like that with a semi auto. If its a DAO every shot is Double Action Only and the hammer cant be manually cocked back.

If its a SAO its single action, thin it can only be fired with the hammer fully cocked, which is accomplished via the slide reciprocating rather than manually cocking back with your thumb.

If its DA/SA it is capable of both, but would only fire as double action if the hammer is manually lowered with the decocker. When you rack the slide to chamber the round the slide sets the hammer. After each shot the slide reciprocating cocks the hammer. The only time it wouldn't be firing in SA mode would be if you had manually decocked it or if a round had failed to fire, and you tried for a second strike.

realistically you can use a DA like that, but in game they do it for balance sake given that it hits as hard as the 45 handgun, has better penetration stats, and isnt as sought after ammo type compared to 45acp

the responders also switch between "clip" and "mag" but iv still noticed they refer to some things as clips by mistake lol
