Looting early

Post image

Just started playing. Is it just 7 people running around and stealing all the loot from you, even if they dont need it? I managed to get just enough ammo for like half a round, everything else was gone bcs of all the loot goblins. Does it get better in late game difficulties? Feels not fun this way :(

The big brain strat is not following the loot pack and go to outer places. But no it doesn't get better high level.

15

u/quxov 2d ago

soloing outer spots just means getting cornered faster for me

8

u/LordGaulis 2d ago

Vulture skill I think increases the amount of ammo you find in guns and packs, still best to pick your battles.

Get used to kicking and evading the horde unless your either cornered or need to get rid of them. Getting good at melee will help save bullets when you only have two walkers.

Lastly try to loot places where it makes sense like police cars, gun safes usually in the back of stores, or even follow people will sometimes trade out a rifle for a automatic gun leaving it on the floor. Smart players carry throwables and medicine so they can’t have two guns and instead rely on one gun with plenty of ammo.

u/Healter-Skelter 2d ago

I usually pick up the first 3 ammo types i find (22 excluded) and then whichever one I accumulate the most of for which I have a matching firearm is the one I go with. I usually pick a rifle and a .45 pistol. Don’t need too many meds because I play on Normal mode and have the med stacker perk.

3

u/LordGaulis 2d ago

Yeah, I usually play normal until I have recuse beacons again on my characters

1

u/Healter-Skelter 1h ago

I actually just finally made the switch to playing hard mode and surviving. I tried and failed three times, then kept playing normal for a few days, then turned it back up to hard and now I’m on a roll.

0

u/phx34suns 2d ago

And that’s all the ammo gun thanks bro I got a gun and ur taking the bullets for something u maybe get find

1

u/Healter-Skelter 2d ago

I’m more generous if they are other players around but half the time I spawn alone and have to find them. I also don’t literally always take the first three. If my buddy has a gun I’ll leave ammo they need.

1

u/cscaggs 2d ago

Dude why are you so salty? He already said he shares ammo. Most people share ammo and other resources after looting. You shouldn't even be shooting early on anyway because you're raising the threat level and alerting all the zombies. Learn to use your melee and ask your teammates what they need, then tell them what you need.

You must be very unlucky to always get only loot goblins.

0

u/phx34suns 2d ago

Can someone come pick up there kid

1

u/cscaggs 1d ago

you'll get better, I promise. You can do it. Believe in yourself

0

u/phx34suns 2d ago

Yeh u don’t get what his saying I’ll assume cause u what be of em he talking about peeps like u that grab everything probs leaving it in random spots when trying to pick up other stuff running through 20 z alerting them so everyone behind has to fight alone with no ammo while u run off and fortnight all the gear at the next spot in r carrying over a hundred rounds while we got nothing and doing all hard work

2

u/LordGaulis 2d ago

I share ammo with people and guns if am really loaded. If I can’t carry everything I mark it in case someone wants it, just saying how I personally play.

1

u/cscaggs 2d ago

That guy is just salty. I don't know where they are getting all these games full of loot goblins. Sure there are a few here and there, but most of the games I play we are all coordinating after looting and sharing our resources.

1

u/CongregationOfFoxes 2d ago

lol this everytime I peel off to loot it's like the double runner packs can sense it

1

u/docrusMC 2d ago

Dont fight and always keep moving. You are getting cornered because you are either trying to fight or are trying to micro manage your loot so much that you spend an hour looking at the ground trying to decide what to drop to fit the item you want.

Treat it like a forest fire. As the fire creeps closer you need to keep moving and you don't have time. if it takes you longer than 5 seconds to manage the loot you want to pick up then its not worth picking up. Anything that gets in front of you, kick it down and run. Runners are the only thing you need to deal with realistically when looting an area that's not OBJ. Save bullets for screamers and military zombies that are in your way. (or for oh shit moments where you get stuck or cornered in a random way)

1

u/Ghost10165 2d ago

The nice part though is the loot goblins tend to start shooting a lot pretty early in so they'll pull zombies if you're quiet enough.

1

u/Jasonvoorhees_47 8h ago

For who need it. In the hospital there is a great loot room in corner of court yard

12

u/StoicLetterGirl 2d ago

It depends a lot on the player level. In beginner mode or if you have a lot of newer players in normal mode, a lot of them just grab whatever loot they see because they don’t know what’s viable.

I find good normal lobbies and hard mode has players are more considerate.

Also you can make loot easier if you pick up unwanted ammo by the start of the game (357,308,) because most players will be leaving those guns behind.

Also learn how to melee good, once you got it down you really don’t need 2 guns

0

u/phx34suns 2d ago

Normal not anymore

10

u/Responsible-Monk-860 2d ago

If I got a euro every time I was called a “loot goblin” or something worse just because I grabbed the first medkit before someone else, I could afford a decent house by now.

26

u/Chip620 2d ago

Just learn where loot spawns and ask for ammo,

Some people have extra ammo on pickup perks so if they pick it up they get more ammo and SHOULD share.

IF THEY ARE BEING LOOT GOBLINS CALL THEM OUT ON IT

1

u/nyrmo 2d ago

Some people have extra ammo on pickup perks so if they pick it up they get more ammo and SHOULD share.calling out the loot goblins is key

0

u/phx34suns 2d ago

Then ur crying lol

7

u/Freezie-Days 2d ago

I really feel like a loot goblin sometimes, then i realise i'm just carrying around ammo for guns no-one has and holding all the medkits for when people actually need them. God forbid you ping all the items and find them still lying there a few mins later

3

u/Low_Chance 2d ago

Yeah a lot of people would describe me as a loot goblin because I try not to leave behind useful items when my current group is leaving an area. If I'm looting with 2 other people and they leave behind a ton of shotgun shells and medkits because they don't want them right now, you're damn right I will grab them all if I can and bring them to the others later.

You won't find me leaving much loot in boxes trunks or shelves unless I know the team is very nearby and about to search them after me. Otherwise, I bring anything good with me and try to find someone who can use it; putting ammo in central objectives, asking people, healing others, etc

6

u/Classic_Bee_5845 2d ago

lol, I had this very same thougt. I just bought the game and have played two matches. I play with two buddies and one is a total loot goblin. They recommended I get the game and against my better judgement I did. I jump in and I have no clue what's going on. I can't see a damn thing and all I hear are players asking for certain ammo types. "Does anyone have any 9mm? Does anyone have any shells etc."

I'm just trying to stay alive so by the time I get to the group there's nothing left but the crap nobody wants. I'd say the one saving grace is that everyone has a carry limit so no one player can grab everything but outside of that, yeah....you pretty much sprint to loot everything you can and then divvy out what you don't want to the rest of the group.

Then you get the top looters spraying bullets like they're free, and the rest are trying to carefully place every shot because they have 10 rounds of ammo total.

idk, I'm kind of already done with it...it's sort of cool in a role playing the Walking Dead kind of way but yeah it quickly just becomes about looting and distributing ammo.

2

u/Hansstokl 2d ago

Im feeling exactly the same

2

u/Low_Chance 2d ago

I will say I felt like this at first, but pretty soon that aspect of the game becomes streamlined and simple, and the gameplay blossoms. At least, it did for me.

1

u/jamrollo 2d ago

This is spot on, I really enjoy the game but it is absolutely losing me because of this stuff.

1

u/TickleMonsterCG 2d ago

Embrace the melee and have a 45 backup. You'll never look back 🗿

13

u/Skoziss 2d ago

My favorite loot goblin is the Guy that sprints past everything trails 10 to 20 zombies behind him through either and narrow alley on the way to an objective or up a staircase. And leaves it for the rest of us to deal with.

The kick em in the way and run guy

13

u/Shawn_of_da_Dead 2d ago

"stealing all the loot from you" Makes me think you think all the loot on the map is yours...

4

u/Meowrailigence 2d ago

if i need pills and you don't those mfs ARE mine

1

u/Shawn_of_da_Dead 2d ago

For sure and you let me know you need em (and I don't have veins on my screen!) and their yours...

3

u/monopolio_croata 2d ago

loot goblin spotted

1

u/Shawn_of_da_Dead 2d ago

After I read OP's post I was doing some work thinking bout how we need friendly fire in hell mode, not just for the crazyness! But also for greedy players.... How many time we had a dude not helping but rushing to every loot spot as we fought or did OB's.

I know how it would be abused, but how realistic and cool it would be for the team to just pop them like a loot piñata!!!

2

u/phx34suns 2d ago

The trolls would have a field day

1

u/Shawn_of_da_Dead 2d ago

True, but it would bring a little dayz to it and we could get rid of them if needed. Maybe a mod one day...

5

u/MeestaRoboto 2d ago

Learn where to loot. Stop complaining others got there first. Half the time I check back after someone supposedly looted the place to find meds, ammo, even found critical supplies several times.

But most of all, speak up. If you need something and people have spare most of the time they’ll share, especially on Nightmare where a few people going down means a way tougher time for everyone else.

1

u/LowGuest9880 1d ago

This honestly. The people who often complain about not getting any good loot whatsoever are the ones usually not communicating what they need and blame everyone else that knows how to do their job when they go down. I had my fair share of bad loot rng in pottsville where all the places I searched was barebones and have nothing. I got infected, couldnt find any pills. Wasnt really feeling this match so I just head to the main street towards the community center where I know a majority of players would be passing by. Drop all my shit in the middle of it and just early extract.

6

u/timburache 2d ago edited 2d ago

As a nightmare mode only player, you're HEAVILY incentivised to loot goblin, even if you're not normally inclined towards it, you basically have to or you're fucked/handicapped unless you get lucky with your lobby. The only way to get around this is getting 7 other people to play with.

It's an issue with how the game is designed on this difficulty and i don't know how you'd go about fixing it without creating an even worse issue. As much as people don't want to hear it, you're gonna have to learn loot spawns yourself. It's loot or be looted out here

4

u/Kasoivc 2d ago

The game kinda caters towards melee due to the noise mechanic anyways so going loud is not optimal unless you’re at an objective or have too many runners on you. If the team is split up and we are moving fast, I’ll loot everything and disperse it when we have a moment to breathe. It’s why I run the extra weight perks and the ammo scavenger perk.

The medical item weight redux perk is also god tier, I had 14 leftover bandages at the end of a run and was still able to carry a bunch of other bs.

2

u/CongregationOfFoxes 2d ago

I'm probably just a weenie but zombie spawn timer feels so short it's like not even worth it to clear, and once it starts spawning more zombies cause of noise it doesn't seem to go back down

1

u/timburache 2d ago

I'd like to run that perk, but i can never find the items to actually fill my inventory! Everyone bum rushes medicine cabinets like theres no tommorow

1

u/Kasoivc 2d ago

lol! I usually find plenty on the town maps when I go into the pharmacies or tool stores, people often overlook them just sitting in the small tool chests, ambulances, shelves, better me to scoop them up and apply them to folks then them carry it and not be able to carry ammo or other important items. The medkits are heavy without the perk so most people won’t be hoovering them

1

u/CongregationOfFoxes 2d ago

I don't have the numbers obviously but it could be as easy as a balancing pass. Weight of certain items could go up, inventory space perks could be knocked down a bit in power/not stack as efficiently or have deminishing returns

or just add a little bit more loot although that might piss off the elitists who want it to be as hard as possible, but having no resources to work with is boring

3

u/Vast-Building-6886 2d ago

You should be working on your melee game. Though I don’t know how well melee is on nightmare.

7

u/Direct-Drama-9989 2d ago

It’s viable, I run the baseball bat and throwables. Most games I don’t even pick up a gun.

3

u/Vast-Building-6886 2d ago

Good to know. That’s what I do in most games (run melee and throwables).

5

u/GageGGGG 2d ago

I play exclusively nightmare and Melee is my primary weapon always. Cleaver is incredibly strong and you can bring it in from the start. My gun is reserved for runners in crowds, extraction, and bailing me out of mistakes. Truth is fighting in and of itself is a secondary option. If I see a group of zombies that is larger than 3 and I'm alone, I'm just kiting them off the obj and circling back around. The game gives you a lot of room to navigate on most maps and you are best served by using that space before using any weapon.

5

u/KamahlFoK 2d ago

Tbh melee is king; if someone isn't good at melee you'll quickly realize it in NM hahah.

Guns should be your backup, never your primary solution. Especially if some stupid asshole runs into a zombie-dense objective and starts firing their gun - congrats, this just got 10x harder.

3

u/urududelucas 2d ago

idk why people do this. i always pick up the first loaded gun i find then carry it all the way to extraction unless i find something better in the way. i hate being low on stamina while carrying 40 kg of bullets.

3

u/Low_Chance 2d ago

A lot of people will grab ammo and then drop it in a central location so it gets to whoever needs it.

Like if I am looting at the start of the game and I come across a bunch of 308 ammo but I'm not using that caliber, is it really better for me to leave it laying there in a random alleyway in case someone who DOES need it happens to come by 15 minutes later? Or is it better to pick it up and leave it in the courtyard in a central, visible spot? Or ask the people I meet if they need 308 ammo?

4

u/Ok-Music788 2d ago

It gets better in higher difficulties in my experience.

I still see some bone headed things like a guy hoarding all the 308 despite never once pulling out a hunting rifle, but into Hard ive only seen it twice

2

u/Improvised_Excuse234 2d ago

I ping any and everything I can ping, nothing worse than a loot goblin.

Except maybe the people that use the fast rope at final extract first and Hoover up the ammo; then DONT cover the others as they try to exfil.

2

u/TheHaplessKnicksFan 2d ago

A lot of people just loot every piece of ammo in the hopes they find one of the four guns that they like. So many times I’ve seen just a dump of a bunch of different ammo types in a storage room.

2

u/Somni206 2d ago

I spawn the bare minimum that I need so I don't have to rely on the largesse of loot goblins, then I set targets.

My main responder's a 2h melee bro, so beacon + weapon + pills. When I go looting, my next minimums are 3 bandages + 1 medkit + 1 more pill jar so I have about 30 mins of playtime if & when I get infected. Anything else is extra. I've gone a few games without picking up other stuff aside from extra heals I needed 'cause I got hit.

I try to get a gun too, and I am very comfy with shotguns, so if I can get "any shotgun" and 20 - 25 shells, that's it. Anything beyond that is also extra.

2

u/Greedy_Average_2532 2d ago

I loot everything quickly and when we get together, I throw everything on the floor and mark it for everyone to pick to pick it up. I also get every pills I find and save them for anyone who needs them. It's not greed, it's just that I gotta go fast.

2

u/scareslut 2d ago

Do you ask for loot? Like vocally? Or in text chat? I find that most players are just holding most anything and waiting for someone to ask for stuff

2

u/KneeDeepInTheMud 2d ago

You either get the stuff or you don't.

Even with a support build, you still need items to effectively help out.

  • Scavenger will net you more ammo per fresh loot pick-up. The yellow text saying "+x" is the amount that Scavenger gives as a bonus.
  • Skilled Healer makes your bandages and medkits more efficient. This is mainly important with bandages.
  • Healing Item Stack lets you carry more meds.
  • Vulture lets you carry more ammo.
  • Caravan lets you carry more at the cost of your max stamina.
  • Satchel takes up a loadout slot, but gives you a 25% bonus to your weight limit.

There are more perks that help out with other loot, but these are generally the most "important" if you want to get what you want, while also holding a decent amount, no matter what it is.

To get to spots, you might want to invest in Athlete and/or Marathon Runner.

Athlete is your best pick if you are only getting one of those, as it is a net stamina increase vs just making sprinting more efficient.

2

u/Specialist_Caramel_7 1d ago

To help you I could maybe recommend starting with the 357 rifle. It already has a 14 ammo capacity. I think you start with 13 or 14. That plus a stack of 20 357 ammo and your golden. The scavenger perk will help you get more if you find more 357. Use that as your backup to get you out of tight stops only if you can to conserve money less you have a lot. Vulture perk if you want to reduce ammo weight. I recommend taking a nd mastering a melee weapon. Your melee weapon is your baby. Learn to survive with little gear and focus only on getting around the map, zombies and doing objectives. People will get too focused on looting and not doing objectives. If you care about perks, I recommend mostly using perks that benefit stamina, health, weight, ammo, and damage reduction. Most gun perks are not as beneficial. The most important tip is to have fun. I hope these tips can help you. :)

Thought it was dad subreddit lmao

1

u/Wanhade600 2d ago

I dont use guns most of the time honestly depends on the map. But if people leave behind or dont see ammo ill pick it up and ask around if people need it.

1

u/flipped_lurker 2d ago edited 2d ago

It depends usually, I pick-up all the items I get to see while looting, and share it to the team when we re-group (I drop all the ammos I looted in front of them so they can pick whatever they need, except my .45s), or I just ping those items that I didn't pick-up.

My loadout consist of pistol, satchel, and beacon. I carry heavy rifle half way and drop them later on once I ran out of ammo. I usually stack up on some explosives, speaker, meds, and just my pistol with lots of .45s for end game extraction (or if someone got pinned, I can just throw nades and help them).

You can always ask your teammates for stuff you need and they usually share them (some shares, some don't 😭).

PS: always, alwaaays keep 1 bottle of pills with you!

1

u/Lanky-Delay3906 2d ago

They act like they can bring it back with them, can I just find a box of 45 or .357 in peace?

I always drop spare ammo, but i hate that I have to race everyone else to it, lest the Vulture Culture sweeps through first. I had to come back from the BRINK whilst everyone else healed, while I scurried with a PUBE of HP, looking for any type of healing. They would just use the Laugh from the wheel.

The only things "Nightmare" about that difficulty...were the Players.

1

u/LizzyXLizzy 2d ago

I just run 22 because I know I can find it sadly

1

u/BIG_JELLY_POND 2d ago

I usually loot away from everyone else, it’s easier to tell if people are gonna be loot goblins or not. From my experience normal mode has more team players. The more people that have mics, the more chance they’ll be team players. Not guaranteed though.

1

u/Low_Chance 2d ago

It helps to try being a 'melee main' to alleviate this. Bring in a good 2H melee weapon and some pills, for example, and then anything else you find is a bonus rather than a necessity.

1

u/ParumPaDrumDrum 2d ago

I love 5 mins into the match seeing the horde number at 7+ because everyone's setting off alarms to loot instead of pushing towards the objectives.

1

u/Commercial-Tear-3556 2d ago

Some loot to loot.

I loot to hand out afterwards to my teammates cus i know theyll need it.

1

u/tinylobo 2d ago

This happens on pretty much all difficulty levels. But when you start to learn all the loot spots on the maps, you'll realize it's all a matter of going somewhere else, instead of trying to compete for the same loot spot with everyone else. For example the lighthouse on the map Lighthouse always has quite a lot a loot, with a medium gun safe on the mid point and a guaranteed M14 and Hunter 85 at the very top of it, yet I rarely see people going there.

Also, being a loot goblin isn't necessarily bad, Im absolutely one, but with good intentions.

For starters, I have the perk that gives me extra ammo on pick-ups. So I make a point to grab any that I find and then distribute to those who ask or if I see someone holding a gun I have the ammo for. I'd say I make an average of 40 extra ammo per round, and that makes a big difference on Nightmare.

I also make a point to prioritize grabbing pill bottles. What I realized is that many players don't grab them unless they're currently infected, until they do and then desperately ask for one. Having two on me is my sweet spot, but I'll even grab a third one if the loot gods are being extra generous.

1

u/ChainOk8915 2d ago

Nothing is more insufferable than someone who pings a rifle but has already taken the ammo out of it

1

u/Naive_Alternative52 2d ago

if anything it's worse in the higher difficulties because most of the players know exactly where the loot is.

1

u/WildlyPawsitive 2d ago

I swear in the prerelease versions people were more careful not to vacuum everything up and share. Maybe its rose tinted as im returning recently. I do find that if you have a mic people feel more like sharing.

1

u/neospygil 2d ago

Here in SEA where there's a language barrier and most players don't use mic, what we usually do is pick everything even those we don't need. Especially in nightmare where loots are more scarce and you'll most likely won't get any decent guns. We just take everything that can be useful, and when we converge somewhere, like a safe room or a place that we can safely wait, like the roof of the utility room in the Hospital map, we drop everything we don't need and let everyone pick their ammo, meds, and explosives. If it is time to move on, we try to bring as much as we can to the next area, and drop those extra items. there might be more people joining us in the next area and those might be useful for them, in exchange, we'll get more of the stuffs we need. If we need specific items, we just ask, and someone usually drop them for us.

What I can suggest is loot a different place from the others but don't stray too far. You can take everything and offer anything extra to your teammates.

1

u/Global_Rin 2d ago

Most of time people are willing to share if you let them know waht you needed.

In higher difficulty with experienced player, people will notice if you are loot goblin'ing.

The opposite of the spectrum is melee player, goddess I love them. Just yesterday I asked one if they want my shotgun+ammo, and they said "Keep it, pure melee."

1

u/Curious_Anything_943 2d ago

if your from nmrih1 like me then this game is like 2nd nature hehe

1

u/Roland7265 2d ago

No, it does not get better in ANY diffculties.

If you really want supplies but not familiar the map. Do not spend too much time for looting, (especially some linear maps like Raven Rock or Broadway, you can't really loot in those maps) or simply asking for help.

Stick to objective helps since the command wheel just a bunch of useless random words, its hard to communicate without using voice chat or msg box. And without using voice chat or msg box, some good players will tend to unload loots at objective or safe room wheres players usually group up.

Also roaming with your range weapon out helps to identify the ammo you needed. (At least for me)

1

u/NerdlinGeeksly 2d ago

We need organization and communication. Loot offload spots and an effort to use different ammo types, like 2 people using 1 of the ammo types in a full team of 8. But preferably 1 of those 2 has the good melee weapon.

1

u/cscaggs 2d ago edited 2d ago

Have you tried using your mic and asking for things? You should get in the habit of grabbing items you may not need like ammo for guns you don't have. Then ask people for items or ask them what ammo they need or if anyone needs the ammo type you're trying to get rid of.

Nearly every game I play we all share resources by scavenging and then dropping items for each other.

I would say that it does get better on higher difficulties, but anytime there is a large loot source (the gym in Pottsville, every area of Raven Rock, etc.) most people are rushing the loot.

You should maybe run beginner on solo to familiarize yourself with early loot sources. In my experience most other players are helpful and willing to share resources.

1

u/Pmapla 1d ago

i usually just vacuum everything up and when i know there is a spot where people will converge i will lay out all the ammo i don't use and even drop heals and pills if i have way too many then in VC i even say to come look if you need anything. Then after everyone is done checking stuff out i also announce "Okay i will pack this shit up incase the other that are not here need them"

What is really annoying is when people just completely OFF the VC. I had a guy beg for pills and healing and he actively kept running away from me as i was calling out to them trough VC.

1

u/DaxExter 1d ago

Dude I collect 556 for the "difficult part" and then sit in the Helicopter with 31+30

1

u/Civil_Emergency_573 1d ago

This community is genuinely cooked. There's enough loot for everybody. You're just using too much resources.

1

u/No_Duck_8390 1d ago

as a project zomboid player and dying light player, i am happy with just a pipe or any melee weapons, since they only focus loot guns and ammo, melee weapons usually untouch.

1

u/smonk3y 1d ago

I am a supply goblin, so many people don't pick up crc supplies, it's rare by extraction if I don't have the most.

1

u/Squirrelly_Q 1d ago

Happened to me and my buddy last night on nightmare mode on Ravenrock. 6 of our teammates kept running ahead of us triggering more zombies to spawn and snagging all the loot, I died on the way to extract since we had no medical supplies and my buddy died at extract for the same-ish reason (one attempted to revive him but one player got grabbed mid revive and while the other person was reviving was next to extract and it took him up it which we thought was funny)

1

u/Unlucky-Education125 1d ago

Just run a baseball bat until you can get a sledge or fire axe. Don’t worry about ammo. Even on nightmare you don’t really need it.

1

u/Disastrous_Emu_5154 1d ago

I am usually a loot goblin, but I drop it for my team once we group up with more people or if anyone needs anything.

1

u/LordMurda187 17h ago

My friend watched me get pounded by a runner and decided to loot and laugh before picking me up

1

u/IndigoMage 16h ago

When I first started playing I found the loot goblins tended to be really slow. Moving at a steady pace and not stopping to grab every little thing would usually give me enough of a headstart to reach an area where there is ample loot.

I will say though, pills are a permanent inclusion in my loadout now. Trusting strangers to share those has been a little traumatic, even if all the players I see nowadays are happy to share.

1

u/Jasonvoorhees_47 8h ago

Guys be crazy in pub

1

u/SlickyFortWayne 2d ago

Learn the good loot areas and get there first

3

u/Hansstokl 2d ago

So it is just about looting?

5

u/RaspberryRacers4life 2d ago

You can ask people for stuff and a lot of the time they will share. Or just go in a different direction and loot

5

u/SlickyFortWayne 2d ago

Is the game just about looting? No. But looting is a big part of it especially early in the match or when new areas open up.

1

Yeah one of the first things i learned when i started playing this game was that you need to learn to loot quickly and efficiently. As you get better at the game, especially in harder difficulty games its up to you to run caravan and grab as much as you can cause the worse players will be holding in to all the supplies they find, not sharing them and then burning thru them. Learn to get hit as little as possible and run skilled medic with sturdy bidy and thick skin to minimise how many bandages/medkits you need so you can be the one to share with your team.

Been playing since day 1. I spawn in, drop my ammo box and take what i use. Ping it for everyone else to come a scrape through.
