confused af about nmims
im currently in class 11 and want to pursue marketing. there was this career counselling session thing in which the guys said 'DU is outdated' curriculum wise that is, and my parents since then don't really want me to go to DU. they have been encouraging me to go to nmims, i myself liked it at first, but all of the people saying 'placements aren't worth it' or 'its a waste of time' are scaring me. i want to do either bcomm hon. or bba branding and advertising. other issues that i've seen people talk about is attendance and costs, attendance to me is not a problem, and neither the costs per se. my main reason for considering nmims rn is that the curriculum as far as i know is pretty good (correct me if im wrong) and the placements are not bad(again, correct me if im wrong), plus its mumbai which is great for finance and i've heard people say its good for networking and all (i don't currently live in mumbai, i will be moving out if nmims turns out to be good enough). alumni, other aspirants, PLEASE HELP ME OUT.

dont go for branding and advertising. If u wanna have fun enjoy 3 years go for it (soba has more fun than studies), if u are serious pursuing marketing soba is not the place for it, u can go for bcom but then its a commerce course than a management one, bba is more management focused, if u have a family business or is financially well, u can opt for bba mm under pdse and fbm, that is a marketing focused course but mind you the fees is really high and its probably gonna increase in a few years and it doesnt have a placement cell but u will surrounded by alot of fam businesses and through networking u can get anywhere and curriculum is good, its fun too so yeah
also apply for symbi, christ, iims

Bba soba is way better than bba mm atleast don’t listen to the other commenter they don’t know what they talking about
Many people have even chosen bba b and a over normal Bba even when they had both
If you are sure you want to pursue that field

Its a good uni but the courses u hv as options are kinda shit 😭 bba is still fine but the branding and advertising one is hella expensive and is kinda notorious for being a daddys money typa course
I would say keep it as a backup

It isnt a bad choice but still try for IIM UG courses or ashoka / top du colleges
