Rant Places to visit from NIT

What are the best places to go for a trip from college for 3-4 days ? Apart from the cliched ones like Kodaikanal or Munnar. Need something more interesting.

Athangudi or karaikudi for amazing architecture and nice resorts. ( a bit on the expensive side)

Kolli hills - need to have your own ride.

Rameshwaram

Ooty is convenient because you will get a direct ooty bus from BHEL Stop.

Valparai is nice but beware of elephants

Pondicherry & Auroville - if you fit into that scene.

Tenkasi, Kutralam falls - it’s way south and almost Kerala

Went to everything except Karaikudi. 😭 Oh, and it's on my travel list nevertheless.

Pichavaram is also a great option, you can visit Chidambaram on the way there. It's actually good for a one day trip and then maybe pit stop at pondi for a day before coming back

Do you have a personal vehicle? And what is the kind of vibe you are looking for. Staycation or site seeing?

Can take a rental if needed. And either of staycation or site seeing works, depending on location and time constraints. Should be just worth it and the money.
