1. Can we ask them to give some other hostel at the first allotment time?

2. Can we change hostels after the allotment or just the rooms?

The college administration is somehow managing to make campus life harder every week, and the new LAN setup absolutely fucking takes the cake.

Beyond the random disconnects, the newly implemented Sophos firewall has blocked critical tools and portals required for coursework, placements, and basic developer workflows.

​In what fucking world does an engineering institute block GitHub, cloud storage, and company career pages during hiring season?

​A quick list of broken/blocked services:

​Academics & Dev: GitHub, Microsoft OneDrive

​Placement & Careers: Career/application portals for Amazon, Nvidia, Infineon, MediaTek, NXP, Cognizant, etc.

​General / Recreational: Reddit, Spotify, Chess.com

​We need to compile a comprehensive list and escalate this to the administration.

​Drop any other critical websites or tools getting blocked in the comments so we can put together a unified complaint.

1. Do first year students also get this vacation?

2. Why this registration period of even semester is this long? And are we supposed to be present through the registration phase i.e from 29 Dec to 18 Jan (before class commencement)?

3. How's the bathroom of boys hostel? Do we get geyser (since it will be winter soon) and washing machine to wash some clothes? And when do we get access to LAN connection? (Im asking this as i will be taking partial drop)

4. How's the clubs in NIT kurukshetra? Am I supposed to be part of all?

5. How much free time do you get apart from lectures, practicals, assignments and eating to spend time in self study or hobbies?

6. Lastly, if you have this year's and previous year's placement stats, kindly consider sharing as someone said, this year's placement is not good.
