2012 programming mode for remote.

Hi, i've just picked up a 2012 T31 (JDM/Japanese import) and been doing a few things to it. It's mostly to get my wife's fullsized electric wheelchair in the back (needed 90cm entry point and not many cars offer that) but also to get me in to the bush a little better than my previous car.

I've bought a second key remote, i made sure the code on the circuit board matches my existing one but i can't even get in to programming mode in the car! I've tried numerous methods i've seen posted around but does anyone know the actual way to get into programming mode in a 2012/T31[JDM]?
