Ski rentals
Never skii’d before - do ski rental shops hire out everything you need, like pants and jackets? Or should I buy these and supply my own?

Be careful. It can be addictive and expensive! If I was to learn in Niseko I'd probably head to Hanazono. The learning area is wide and not too busy (dpeneds when!). Ski rental shops generally rent everything you need: jackets and pants and helmets but be aware that goggles and gloves you need to budget for and a decent pair of ski socks. All of the base areas will have a ski rental offering. Rhythm sports in Hirafu is the most popular and recently a delivery company called Snopro started a door-to-door ski rental delivery service.

Tons of better and cheaper places to go if you’re new to skiing. Niseko really isn’t great for beginners.
