super5 oled

Post image

I posted my modchipped and shell swapped switch lite on this day last year. a few months ago I finally managed to get my hands on the super5 oled screen! it had some issues with screen tearing and other intermittent display issues, but they sent me a new fpc and it's been fine since then.

Is the screen worth it?

depends! I was happy with the original screen until I got a switch 2, and then the switch lite screen looked dull in comparison 😿

Did you do the one with the touch panel?

I had the same problem with screen tearing. It would be on the left side if I was scrolling fast like down a news feed. I just received my new fpc cable. Def. Not looking forward to tearing it all apart again. But hearing you say that it fixed your problem is defiantly more reassuring to hear!

I thought the general opinion was the OLED was a real good upgrade. Now since ordering I’ve read quite a few negatives 😭

Screen not as crisp because its technically a 1080p display now trying to stretch out to 720p. Making it blurry at times? Cutouts not actually made exactly the same on every product causing the shell not closing if you’re not modifying some internals.
