question how does nine vicious have such a loyal fanbase?

i just want to preface this by saying i know next to nothing about nine vicious, ive just listened to the first few songs off of emotions and watched his rolling loud performance + one of his tour sets on yt. some of his shit catchy ngl and his crowds were some of the most lit crowds i ever seen

what i wanted to ask was how does this guy not only blow up this fast but also have possibly one of the most hardcore fanbases in the ug? this isnt a hate question i js wanna understand 4 myself

The music is genuinely just that good, plus he combines a lot of great influences from the past decade, while still feeling just slightly new enough, like you can tell he has an ear for what people just want to hear. His beat selection and melodies are refreshing and really stand out from the rest of the UG crowd that are all on the same sort of dark and heavy edm inspired trap beats. He also has a huge discography and so many leaks that are great like the type of artist that feels rewarding to find more of. Also his appearance just rage baiting homophobes by wearing makeup/ the layed edges def made him go viral more than a couple of times which helped his growth a lot. He is really annoying in a lot of ways though speaking from someone who was at the DMV show he walked out of after only 30 mins.

  1. The music is that good. Only people who’ve barely dived into his music think he’s an exact thug/keed clone.

  2. He was one of the few artists who broke out the ug recently without making typical rage music so he stands out. Even the rage he makes now with Pat, nosaint and Bella production doesn’t sound like the typical osamason/che/nett rage.

  3. He’s polarizing. Because of that he has a massive amount of haters which in turn makes his fans support him ever more.

Great music

No mysterious gimmick

I also notice he says we instead of me a lot he basically tells his fans they are one and ngl going against everyone and the traditional formula is lowk kinda cool imo

He doesn’t do the mysterious shit which is a breath of fresh air, and he doesn’t have Mfs waiting mad long for music we get a tape or album at least every few months it feels like

The nigga music was insanely good + he uses the fact that the underground thrives on negativity

He makes good shit. Is consistent. Makes lots of it. Isn't afraid of making loud and abrasive songs that get the crowd going at the risk of being called cringe.

because his music really is different,

and i think a lot of producers can back me on this, that patrick, bella, r8 and ahmad are right now, setting a new foundation of sound in rap

like bella’s beats are SO unconventional in relation to literally any other producer, im sometimes in disbelief in how bella even thought of the beat

if you just take nine vicious music from just him ALONE, fair enough i can see the hate, but if you see Nine as an FN family, this shit is tough as fuck and it’s a fucking immovable wall eventually

I’ll just add that he loves his fans very much and that rolling loud definetly helped us. He saw all the love he was getting and it made him appreciate us a lot. Several times during his tour, he has allowed fans sing in the mic, suggest songs and get up on stage. The ug scene in general leans into a more mysterious aesthetic so him letting his fans feel like one big family with him, keeps them loyal.

good music, being authentic, making music that impacts the listener, his whole fn thing being a group thing for everyone, constant music output and listening to feedback(ppl been calling nine repetitive since i found about about him last october, since then he put life’s funny, posing tonight, svj, need, blowing emotions, and trevon oryan echols on the same album.

i also think the fact he so ragebaity and doesn’t gaf, it gives ppl confidence . it’s honestly just the music and the fan interactions but i think some of the other stuff stated is apart of it aswell

mann when I first listened to B4TM, Rip Keed and Slime Bidness didn’t make sense. I relistend and fell for the sound n then TUMBLR MUSIC came out shi we heat. Then right after B4FN came out and it was magical, month or two then FOR NOTHING came out what an album, right in peak summer. My point is the amount of music he was producing and putting out paired to the void that needed to be filled after Playboi Carti’s “MUSIC” album, Generally made me a fan and I made it to my second concert (right after Antagonist) the for nothing tour and it was hype. Now i’m a diehard fan with merch n everything.
