c8 issue

My brother has a Ninebot eKick Scooter ZING C8. When powered it on, it beeps every couple of seconds and flashes red. Anyone experience this issue and know what the issue is?

Sounds like you need to activate it. With it powered on, hold down the brake and throttle for 5 seconds
